The R6's sleek design benefits from aluminum and elastomer construction which makes it lightweight, durable and comfortable.

Patented Oval Ear Tips

Thanks to our research with Indiana University, Klipsch in-ear monitors featured patented oval ear tips that are anatomically contoured to fit perfectly inside the human ear canal. The superior fit of these soft oval silicon tips reduce ear fatigue as well as creating a near air-tight seal for excellent noise isolation and bass response.

They fit better. They feel better. They sound better...And only Klipsch has them!

FLAT TANGLE-RESISTANT CABLES

We know you hate untangling cables. We get it. It's incredibly annoying.

Thankfully, the Reference R6 comes with enhanced, durable cabling for hassle-free storage and transport.

1 out of 5 eggsExtremely Disappointed

Pros: none

Cons: Thin, tinny, absolutely no bass. I have a pair of Klipsch surround speakers that I use in my car, and hoped that these would be of similar quality. Boy was I wrong. I bought a pair of $.99 earphones at THE big box store that sounded better than these.

Other Thoughts: Just can not express how truly disappointed I am.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat sound

Pros: Like the deep bass. Have also Klipsch Image S4A and the R6 has better bass. Rest of sound equal and great for in-ear headphones. Multiple ear tips that are comfortable.

Cons: As others reported, last time using it and walking, can hear noise of wires movement. When I was still, then no noise.

Other Thoughts: Bought on Newegg sale. Great price even with the 1 con. Also enjoy oval case that comes with it. NOTE, always use the correct ear tip size, it makes a world of difference for sound quality once correctly fitting in ears.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent sound and comfortable

Pros: Superior separation and clarity - I'm hearing things in songs I had not noticed before. The highs are excellent. Good bass, though you need to get a good fit and find the correct angle in the ear for the best sound. Mostly tangle-free cable. If you don't like the oval ear pieces, you can change them out for any other brand's. They work fine for gaming, but have no mic for co-ops or MMOs.

Cons: I would like the bass to be just a bit more robust. But, that may be because I've been conditioned to artificially enhanced bass in my previous headphones. Noise from the cable bumping or rubbing against things can be annoying - might be an issue if you are jogging or otherwise fairly active, but I use them at my desk at work and it isn't really an issue.

Other Thoughts: They weren't terribly comfortable within the first half-hour or so. I switched to the old ear pieces from either my Sony or Philips models and they worked with virtually identical sound. I experimented switching back and forth and finally noticed that the Klipsch ear pieces are slightly oval - it mentions it on the package, but wasn't obvious looking at them on my desk. Turning the seam on them to line up with a line on the headphone stem fixed the comfort and fit. If you have issues with fit, experiment with the angle of the ear pieces on the stem and in your ear or swap them out for those from other headphones. My previous headphones, most recent to oldest, were the Sony MDRXB50AP Extra Bass Earbud, the Philips SHE9500 Ultra Sound In Ear Headphones, and the Sony MDR-EX51LP Fontopia In-The-Ear Headphones. The Sony MDRXB50AP took the longest to burn-in and needed the most adjustments in my computer to get decent sound. Plus, they have a high pitched wind-like sound in the background all of the time, presumably due to the high sensitivity, though the Klipsch have comparable sensitivity without that issue. I mostly use those for sports radio now. The Philips and Sony MDR-EX51s had the warmest sound with the most bass and didn't need much burn-in time. These Klipsch had very good sound from the start that has improved to excellent over the last couple of weeks and I got them on sale for less than any of the other three. I definitely recommend.
