4 out of 5 eggsVULCAN HEADPHONES

Pros: They Made The Width Too Big But Not Sound Quality. The Are Real Clear & Bass Deep As Can Be. Nice Cushions Too. Look Well Put Together Construction. The Auto Noise Canceling Works Great In Gaming.

Cons: (Well It Does Have A Con) No Darn On Board Sound Card Is Going To Do These Any Justice. ): Must Use Aftermarket Sound Card To Power Them To Their Full Potential. Now I,m In The Market For A Decent Sound Card.

Other Thoughts: For All Said You Might Like Um. But For Gaming Their The Best Hear Sounds In Background Better !. Gave It a 4 Out Of Five For Lack Of Info On Needing The Aftermarket Sound Card. Priced Right For The Best Headphones For Everything You Do. UPDATE ( FOUND THE EAR PADS NEEDED REPLACED IF YOU NEED THEM (AURAY EPE-MDR7506 EXTRA DEEP EAR PADS) Might Help Others Who Been Looking.

4 out of 5 eggscomfortable, great sound, great looks

Pros: Looks awesome
Very comfortable
Good sound quality
Removeable Mic
very long cable

Cons: Audio cuts in/out when you touch the cable
**Most computers may not have enough to fully power these

Other Thoughts: I love this headset.

The color on this headset is incredible. Asus did a really good job on designing this thing. it looks awesome and even the case it comes with is top notch.

The sound quality is surprisingly good, and I love that you can detach the microphone and use it as a regular headset if you want.

One thing I noticed about this headset is that most computers and devices I tried it on did not have enough power to fully power them. meaning you may need a headphone amp to get the full effect.

The cable is very long which is good but makes a little bit of static when you move it around.

5 out of 5 eggsGood.

Pros: -Very comfortable, can wear for many hours without any strain.
-Sound quality is acceptable, can't really compare a gaming headset with actual headphones.
-Detachable mic

Cons: -ANC reduces sound quality

Other Thoughts: The bass is not too heavy, which may suit some people.

4 out of 5 eggsWhat did you say?

Pros: Silent - I have 8 140mm fans and my GTX 670 fan running at full blast, and I can't even hear any of the fans. If you want a headset for silent gaming, then this is it for you.

Cons: Heavy - After a couple hours my neck will start hurting, my previous headset was so light compared to this

Cord - The cord is much longer than what they said it was. Too long for use when out in public. Purchased another cable for public use, but the connection area is slightly surrounded by plastic, so that makes a lot of cords useless, unable to fit.

Anc - When you walk with it on it will make a very weird and annoying noise that is from the headset being pulled down from the motion. Also ANC gives me a headache with prolonged use because of the pressure it causes. Probably just something you have to get used to. My friend described the ANC as "OW. It feels as if it is trying to suck out your brain through your ears"

Other Thoughts: Would I buy it again? Eh, maybe. It's nice not to have the fans overpowering the game noise.

Color scheme - would have loved to have blue instead of red, but that is just personal preference on aesthetics.

3 out of 5 eggsNot worth the price

Pros: -ANC (although it isnt very great"
-Good padding
-Looks nice

Cons: -Sound quality is mediocre, i constantly find my self doubting that its at 100% volume
-Sound quality increases when i unplug the mic cable, i just find that weird
-Mic is terrible, its very small and friends on skype tell me my previous 20 dollar generic mic had less static.

Other Thoughts: Although my mic issues could just be the result of the product being damaged before i received it, the item was still a disappointment. I would call this a good buy if the headset was 60 dollars

4 out of 5 eggsGets the job done

Pros: Nice sound quality. The adjustable microphone is a nice touch. The leather on the top and the earpieces is very comfortable and fits around my ears well. Of course with any headset, when you wear it for an extended period of time your ears may get sore. But that's to be expected.

Cons: Feels sort of flimsy because it is collapsible. Unless it's on your head it the earpieces move a bit. Also, the ANC is something to be desired. It works well for blocking out some ambient noises but if there are people talking or typing you will be able to hear them.

Other Thoughts: If you're looking for a gaming headset this would not be a bad pick! The red looks stylish also!

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Sound is quality(minus the buzz)the head phones did have good base and the noise cancelling worked pretty decently.
pretty decent case.

Cons: Constant buzzing sound, disableing microphone FP will get sick of the fuzzy sound after 10 mins . you have to have the sound about 45%+ to block out most of the fuzzy/buzzing sound.the left speaker only works intermittently, I have to keep twisting, pulling and turning the cord to try to get the left speaker back , this started happeing about 8 months in and now it's getting worst and worst.

Other Thoughts: I bought an expensive headset so i can get quality from my 230$ creative sound card

2 out of 5 eggsThis is not the "Pro"

Pros: Not the Pro just the ANC:
Pro - Frequency Response Headphone : 20 ~ Hz
ANC - Frequency Response Headphone : 10 ~ 20000 Hz

Link to Pro -

Link to ANC -

Cons: They are calling it the "Pro" but it is not. This is just the ANC.

Different cable, Pro is ROG, different inline volume controller ANC just has mute and volume, "Pro" has ROG Spitfire USB audio processor modes: Headphone amplifier 7.1 virtual surround, FPS EQ,

Pro is 7.1 - ANC 5.1

Other Thoughts: Please clarify this one Eggy. I thought I was getting the "Pro" because that what it was called.
I bet Asus is responsible for the name being wrong. Newegg is just to smart to make such a mistake. Yeah I love my Egg!!

But Asus on the other hand - while they have cool stuff they are hurting in on support and "Customer Loyalty".

1 out of 5 eggsDO NOT BUY!

Pros: They look nice.

Cons: When you plug these in to ANY headphone jack the sounds seem muffled and far away. I tried it with 3 computers and an old cd player, the headphones sounded terrible no matter what I used. When I turned the noise canceling on it made it even worse I couldn't even understand the words and there is NO BASS what so ever. My $15 headphones sound 1,000,000 times better. Do not get these.

4 out of 5 eggsWhat I expected

Pros: Well I knew these were "gaming headphones". So the sound is what I expected.
They are very comfortable, which is why I bought them to replace my worn out sennheiser headphones.

This is my first set of "noise reducing" headphones. Humm not really that impressed.

I have all Asus in my computer including Xonar, maximus extreme motherboard, dvd, and 7950. I have to crank the 7950's fans 100% to keep it from overheating so was hoping this would cancel that out. Wishful thinking I guess.

My biggest complaint is the battery for ANC and lack of noise canceling mic (seems like a no brainer).
The ANC should auto shut down as I forget to turn it off and waste another battery.

Cons: Nervous about Asus RMA if they go bad.

Other Thoughts: Just thankful so far I have not had to deal with Asus RMA process again. That is a real nightmare.

Last time they took 4 months - RMA department crushed my video card (then sent it back like that). I sent it back then they lost it (claiming to have never gotten it back.... I had tracking, thank goodness) - then after months they replaced with a lesser card (under threat I would have to wait more months for an exact replacement).

Upgrade the product, after that nightmare, would have been what most companies would do.

Moral of the story - Always get the Newegg warranty.
