1 out of 5 eggsSo disappointed.

Pros: Pretty good sound quality!
No cords!
When charged, relatively long battery life!

Cons: Super fragile.
Would have been worth the price if they hadn't fallen apart.
Poor design, apparent corner-cutting. Weakpoints in the structural design of the headset left me with a broken microphone and right earpiece. (The plastic is brittle and snapped)
I wish the cable would have been longer.
The wireless USB signal is good but again, it's fragile. I have to position the USB in an unnatural way for my computer to recognize the device is connected. It's beginning to fall apart also.
I also didn't like the separate sound processing. I have a good sound card but the sound is generated from USB device, not your sound card.

Other Thoughts: The headphones were good until they fell apart. The microphone piece raises and lowers but the plastic (or whatever material they use) is very brittle. The microphone broke off at it's connection to the left earphone as I was lowering it for use. Shortly after that, my headphones fell from the top of my computer (roughly a 2.5 foot fall) and the right headphone snapped off the headband at it's connection point (which appears to be structurally weak). So now I have a headset with a dangling mic piece, and a dangling right earphone (they both hang from the wire). The headset will no longer charge correctly now, probably due to the stress placed on the wire by the weight of the broken ear piece. The earpieces really do need to enclose your ears to get the most out of the sound but I can't do that because they're broken.

If a ASUS representative contacts me I'll be happy to chat about it but I will not be buying another one of these headsets.

3 out of 5 eggsUncomfortable but functional

Pros: -Lightweight
-Plug and play

Cons: -Uncomfortable! For a person with an average head or larger I'd probably skip these headphones entirely. Not for long use. If you wear glasses, this goes doubly for you. Headphones shouldn't begin to hurt your ears if you've been wearing them for an hour.

-Doesn't seem to function at all if you're charging...

-Beeping. It lets you know that the batteries are running low if it start beeping... but it can start beeping with an hour of life left.

Other Thoughts: There are much better headphones for the price. The feeling of these headphones just makes me wonder what they were thinking when people tested these out.

2 out of 5 eggsHs-w1 not worth it in my opinion

Pros: Great sound quality
Leather earbuds feel good after a while

Cons: -Microphone has to be all the way down
-Random beeping
-Microphone seems to have a touch to mute feature on it so sensitive that if my shirt touches it the microphone mutes itself
-Microphone way sensitive received reports of extremely loud background noise from my friends when I did not have anything else turned on in my room except for my aquarium filter which is extremely quiet
-Asus tech support is a little confusing to find
-Manual isn't really a manual just points out what is what on the headset

Other Thoughts: Price originally liked good and the headset looks really nice but functionality is just atrocious

4 out of 5 eggsFantastic Headset!

Pros: These Headphones are fantastic as they look, feel, and act quite professional. The Leather ear pads feel great on the ears and are very comfortable. They charge via USB Micro, which is fantastic because those cables are super easy to come by since almost every new device uses that connection. The case looks great, is very protective of the headset (it is a hard case) and even provides a little extra room for any other small cabling you would like to put in with your headset. This case is form fit so the headset doesn't get jostled around and broken. When you move the boom up it mutes the Microphone, which for me is fantastic as I often switch between talking to people during a game and talking to people in my house.) Volume buttons are easy to use and adjust volume in increments that make sense.

Cons: Because the ear pads are leather the headset doesn't "grip" your head. Since this is the case if your not careful the headset may fall off your head if you tilt your head downward.

Other Thoughts: Definitely worth the price I am thoroughly impressed with this headset!

3 out of 5 eggsAsus HS-W1

Pros: -Folds up into small'ish carrying case w/ dongle and charging cable.
-Sound quality is great.
-Long Battery Life.(At first)

Cons: -Uncomfortable for long uses(Earpads are flat).
-Microphone positioning must be all the way down.
-Volume Controls are a bit wonky.
-Random beeping noises are annoying.

Other Thoughts: For the money, the device was a decent buy. If I had of known how uncomfortable the device would be on my ears, i would have purchased something with earcups and not something flat. Also I get less and less battery life now.. I guess the battery in the unit is already failing. (Purchased from Local Electronic Store)

4 out of 5 eggsPretty Good

Pros: -Light weight
-Sound Quality is decent
-low price yet nice product

Cons: - Charger cable is too short

Other Thoughts: My PC is right next to my monitor but I still have to rub my nose on the screen when I 'plug and play' because the cable that comes with is too short. I don't think plug and play is possible for people who puts their pc under the desk.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Wireless headset for the money

Pros: Great sound reproduction & quality, wireless reach is pretty accurate. If you are walking through your home through a few walls, expect some disconnects, until you get closer to the signal again. Says to charge full 10 hours first time before first use, and you get 8 hours battery life, that is also accurate. Very comfortable, unlike the Logitech g930, which puts pressure on the pressure points above your ears. No problems with the mic.

Cons: Wish the frame was a bit more rugged. Beeping gets annoying sometimes, I would rather have a pop-up on my screen that tells me exactly how much battery life is left, just like the Logitech g930 does. My battery wasn't getting its full charge after the first two weeks, got an RMA, waiting for replacement... we will see if the battery on this model actually has an actual short lifespan, in which I will update my review later.

Other Thoughts: All in all, it is a great wireless headset for the money. I bought this one to replace my Logitech g930, because I lost it in the previous move, and would've cost a lot to get replaced. For the price, you cant beat it. It doesn't cover your ears like the g930, however, it is loud enough for enjoyment. Not a noise-reduction headset. You would need to hear your surroundings if you were using it for business anyways. ;)

4 out of 5 eggsGreat for its price range

Pros: - Good range
- Good sound quality
- Sturdy
- Sufficiently Adjustable

Cons: - Proprietary connector (usb dongle) - can't use it with audio devices like MP3 players or stereos.
- Flat, "leather" earpads were difficult to get used to, versus foam pads or ear cups.

Other Thoughts: The "random beeping" noises are the headset's way of telling you that its battery is low.

A wireless headset is the second most-important contributor to my productivity and happiness as a computer user in my life. I bought the "low-end" model after warily ignoring the $20 logitech wireless headset. I will spend the full $200+ for a top-of-the-line wireless headset the next time around.

3 out of 5 eggsASUS HS-W1

Pros: Lightweight, fits nice on my small head, most headsets are bulky and too big. Sound is great.

Cons: I play WoW on ventrillo, and trying to figure the positing of the mic so it works or inst muted very tricky. The instructions are the worst I've ever seen.

The microphone needs to be all the way down to speak with push to talk, if you tilt it up its muted.

The headset beeps every once an a while when I look away or put my hand over the headset.
I tried them on but didn't have them plunged in prior to purchasing them. I would recommend a sales person assists you with trying them out and him showing you all the hidden goodies.

2 out of 5 eggsASUS Headset

Pros: Light-weight and comfortable. Price is affordable and the carrying case is convenient.

Cons: The headset beeps often for seemingly no reason since i bought it. Now ofter about a month of owning it seems to be having trouble charging. I move the usb plug trying to get it right but that doesn't help or if it does not for very long.

Other Thoughts: I would not recommend purchasing this headset.

Manufacturer Response:
