Corsair Vengeance 1500 USB Connector Circumaural Dolby 7.1 Gaming Headset

Pros: Loved the headset did everything I wanted it to do and sounds amazing.

Cons: lasted less than a year even though they were amazing during the time the right headset speaker shorted out. and now it only works if i pull the cord. I never dropped it or anything so not sure how it started shorting out. but since I specifically bought it for the surround sounds capability it is kinds useless now. oh well back to regular speakers for me i guess.

Other Thoughts: I took off two eggs because it is n ice but not lasting one full year is a bit much

Pros: Great set of head phones, Very comfortable. Great for hours of game play with no soar ears. Not going to pretend to know the first thing about fidelity, but they sound amazing.
Mic is crystal clear. It is the equivalent of going from a walkie talkie of my last pair of headphones to a studio mic. That'll teach those dirtbags to make fun of my crackle sound, and my mother is a wonderful lady!

Cons: Blue LED on the volume adjuster really bright and uncalled for. Just plain mean, man! Doesn't even have the decency to turn off then PC is off.

Only lasted 8 months. There appears to be a short just above the volume buttons. I have a $20 dollar pair of Logitechs that are about 5 years old that I'm stuck with until next month. I was a good 8 months though. I'm going to try Turtle Beach next.

Other Thoughts: They are USB. I didn't know that when I purchased.

Pros: Good clean sound.

Earcups do a great job at immersing you without completely cutting you off from the world

Expensive look, snazzy volume control lights that change color in a cool non-cheap looking way.

Braided cord that doesnt seem to tangle but I wouldnt go ignoring it either

very soft, comfortable, and durable cups

cups can articulate so they mold well to your head - they fit snug even with a little extra pressure to go over your ears and stay there

Cons: Bass isnt incredible but reviews tell me this is "clean" bass and i dont know what im talking about - you can mess with the equalizer to slam the bass as high as it can go and that will make it passable but I miss the feeling of the headset shaking gently on my head during heavy action

Bar over head feels firm and unforgiving. might be my headshape but cups come on so hard (although still soft and comfy) that it feels like the main headset support is pushing somewhat uncomfortably down on the top of my head. could just be the shape of my head

Other Thoughts: Got it on sale
Easily worth it
Take good care of them and they should give quality sound for a long time im hoping - Corsair is a fairly trusted name in the tech world

Cons: A little hard to put on your head without using both hands.
The ear muffs on the headset get covered in lint and hair, LINT ROLLER FTW.

Other Thoughts: Very surpised, I love the headset, it's got an awesome panel to switch to 7.1 and has awesome configuration settings.

Pros: Great sound

Nice mic, really works well for in-game chat
Pretty comfortable.

Cons: The right ear stopped working completely in february, I had bought them in september. I sent it for RMA though, and got new ones, so I am making a new review, 4 eggs instead of 1. Removing one because of the RMA.

Pros: -Good sound quality
-Mic is very clear
-Software for headset somewhat useful, though a bit lacking
-Comfortable to wear

Cons: -In-line control seem to get pretty warm after a time, esp. with the mic muted.
-Don't really care for the steel/chrome look on the sides
-Right side can just gave out after working well for exactly a year, the sound was showing issues for about a week before hand.

Other Thoughts: This is about a month after my Corsair SSD (Force series 115 GB, if you care to know) decided to give out for no identifiable reason. I used to really like Corsair for having sturdy, reliable products, but this recent change of events destroyed that rep for me.

Pros: -Very comfortable. Wore it ten hours straight, with no discomfort at all.
-Fantastic clear quality.
-Great amount of bass on it.

Cons: -At the apex of the height of my head, where the underside of the band touches, there's a little sharp pressure. It's subtle, and didn't notice it at first. It's not so bad as to take off an egg though.

Other Thoughts: As long as you grab the drivers from the manufacturer's web site, and edit the equalizer for proper bass, this headset is absolutely fantastic.

Cons: In some video games, most notably in Battlefield 3, the audio randomly becomes inverted from left to right with every match you start.. Frustrating is an understatement.

Pros: No setup. The surround sound does well in game. Cheap price. Decent in-line controls.

Cons: Not much bass. The mic is too stiff. Fits fairly tight. Lacks durability, thin cable... I foresee rewiring the USB plug in a year.

Other Thoughts: If you have a big head these could be really tight and even break. Just be delicate.

Pros: Comfortable for the 10 minutes I wore it.

Cons: Whenever the microphone was being used the speakers made a very annoying high pitched squeal. If I muted the mic the noise got louder. It was worse than a mosquito flying next to your ear. It seems this is a very common problem and I wouldn't recommend these to anyone.
