  • newegg Dolby Headphone multi-channel audio built in If you have onboard sound, the Vengeance 1500 provides easy one-cable USB connection and Dolby Headphone technology that lets you enjoy multi-channel games the way they were meant to be played. Dolby Headphone is compatible with any game with 3D audio, and helps reduce “headphone fatigue” while delivering the accurate 360-degree audio imaging you need if you’re playing to win.
  • newegg 50mm drivers The massive 50mm drivers greatly reduce the overloading and distortion that can occur with gaming headsets that use 40mm drivers. You get more accurate sound reproduction (particularly for the all-important low-frequency effects). You hear more audio, more cleanly, and you get a competitive advantage.
  • newegg High-sensitivity noise-cancelling microphone Whether you're barking instructions to your teammates or chatting with old friends, you deserve to be heard. The unidirectional, noise-cancelling microphone is tuned to capture your voice loudly and clearly, while screening out distracting background noises. And, it flips out of sight when you’re not using it. In addition, the circumaural closed-back design also blocks distracting sounds and keeps your head in the game, and the extra-large inline volume and microphone control is easy to grab and use when the action heats up — you don't need to take your eyes off the screen.
  • newegg Superior Comfort The extra-wide, extra deep earcups don’t just help things sound great — they feel better, too. Customize your comfort with the included microfiber cover. It uses memory foam earpads for a comfortable, reliable fit that conforms to the shape of your head without binding or pinching.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Headset

Pros: Great sound. The Surround sound function makes it sound like people are sneaking up on you from the sides or behind nicely. I use these to play BF4, Fallout 4, and The Divison, These work perfectly. I've owned them for a few years and they still work perfectly...except the mic mute button on the cord is stuck on. I opened it up to try and fix it to no avail. However, it's not really a huge deal because most applications allow you to mute the volume anyways.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I would recommend these to anyone looking for a Gaming Headset for their PC.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat headset

Pros: Good directional audio
Good mic
Clamps your head hard/tight (I like it)
Goes loud enough
Nice braided cable, is still thin and flexible
Easy interface for drivers

Cons: Eq resets for me constantly
Eq seems unresponsive
Does not sound good listening to music, I primarily listen to rock/metal
Seems to conflict with stereo mix, was not able to use stereo mix after getting this headset
Mic arm loses its ability to stay where you want it to quickly
USB so you can't use it on your phone (not really the headset's fault, it's just something to consider)

Other Thoughts: My headset has broken twice, once in 2 different places. I'm not taking off an eggs for this because the first time it broke, I had dropped it countless times from about 3 ft onto concrete, and I fixed the break using jb weld. That fix stayed there for over a year, because i stopped dropping it, and only recently broke again, on the other side. After being worn several hours a day for 2 years and being dropped dozens of times, I'm completely satisfied; I'm going to fix the other side the same way and continue using this headset, although i would like to try the cloud 2.
Although I don't think this headset sounds particularly great, it's a gaming headset, it's for games. It works great in games, and does its job outside of games, which is what it's supposed to do.
As a CS player, this headset works great.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat while it lasted

Pros: Great Sound/Mic/Fit. Everyone could hear my crystal clear, I could hear everything especially with the special drivers. I could wear it for 6+ hours fine, but when my large ears did hurt, I could rotate it back on the back side of the ear cup to balance on my head and still hear.

Cons: Mic and sound went out after a year and a half. Of course the warranty was only good for 1 year, not 2. Now I'm out of a mic, will not be ordering another one though. Would have been more than pleased with a 2 year warranty.

5 out of 5 eggsWork Great but not in Linux or Mac

Pros: These work great in Windows: the sound and mic are both good. Very comfortable, good at blocking outside noise. Nice long, high quality cord.

Cons: I bought this for working with a Mac and a Linux machine and they don't work well on the Mac (volume doesn't work correctly) and they don't work at all on Ubuntu. It's specifically stated that they're windows only (I should have read more carefully) so I'm not taking any eggs off.

Other Thoughts: I am not an audiophile so I can't really speak to the quality of the sound in audiophile terms. They sound find to me.

5 out of 5 eggsPretty good deal

Pros: -Comfortable
-long cord
-easy to use
-great balance of sound...maybe needs a little more bass but is not disappointing by any means

Cons: -USB headset so you have to use it with a computer.
-Not a lot of Bass
-Not much Linux support but still works for stereo

Other Thoughts: This is pretty much what I was expecting. There is bass just not a lot of it. You can mess around with the settings to get a little more out of your headset. The 7.1 is pretty good just for a headset. Personally I have no real complaints. Just be aware that you have to use this with a computer

5 out of 5 eggsSounds great!

Pros: Sounds amazing and is comparable to a 7.1 sound-card.

Great options for equalization and sound positioning. I've played games like CS:GO with this and you can perfectly hear what direction someone is coming from.

Really gives you a nice edge.

Cons: Sadly with any wired headset you have too look after your cable and treat it with much care. After about a year a short has developed right under the volume control. So just keep your cords safe!

Other Thoughts: Crazy how they can make it sound like 7.1 surround sound with just 2 speakers. Awesome headset and really impressed me. Before this headset I've only ever used 3.5 jacks to high quality sound cards.

It is a bit frustrating to record PC gameplay/commentary when using a USB headset, so beware of that.

You have to find a workaround otherwise you can't record stereo mix or wave mix like you can with a good soundcard.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Its good. Good software, good quality, good cable, good sound, good microphone, its just good. 50mm drivers make sound even better. The software is pretty good, not the best I've seen but gets the job done and is fairly easy to use.

Cons: Previous headset had 2 3.5mm jacks with converter, which gave me options, this is USB only but I knew it going in and was ok with it as I only use it and wanted it for PC.

3 out of 5 eggsDecent, but flawed

Pros: Nice 7.1 emulation. Deep tones and wide variance. Very clear and comfortable over long periods of time. Good mic.

Cons: No clip on the wire, heavy volume dongle mid-wire has caused a wire to break 25 months into gentle ownership.

Other Thoughts: These have been pretty good to me for a couple years, but now the sound is starting to cut out on the right-ear. If I hold the wires just right where it connects to the volume box it can work for a while.

4 out of 5 eggsHeavier than they look

Pros: They have amazing sound reproduction (especially low end) and the sound options are fantastic.

Cons: You will undoubtedly use these for gaming, but they are a bit heavy and get a bit tight after a couple hours. The mic is good, the sound is good, but it will wear on you if you use them for any long period of time.

Other Thoughts: They are good for the money and certainly don't disappoint. I would buy them again.
