3 out of 5 eggsTrouble with the wheel from the beginning

Pros: - There were several months when it worked good.

Cons: - The wheel...

Other Thoughts: I paid like $56 for it, but it had problems from the beginning. First the wheel was weird and made irony-sqeeky noise. It was for like 2 months. Then it stopeed doing it and the mouse was okay for several months.
Then one day the wheel started to not working. The scrolling up is impossible with it, because when I try it, it mostly scrolls down. The scrolling down is kinda working, but sometimes it scrolls up.
Cleaning the chamer doesn't work. I would open the mouse and clean it, but I can't find any information about that. There are no instructions on the Corsair website neither.
It would be an excellent mouse, if the wheel would work.

5 out of 5 eggs2 years later...

Pros: Excellent mouse. Would recommend it now if you can get it for 30 less, since there are newer iterations of it. Only now thinking about upgrading since I'm upgrading my entire system, and this mouse will likely be put on a side system since it still works great.

Cons: No problems, many options, only the fly changes. Great mouse. I suspect the reviewers who said it failed quickly probably beat their mice against the desk and damage it.

2 out of 5 eggsShort life span

Pros: Smooth move

Cons: Short life span... Laser doesn't work anymore. I've the very old mouse which I got about 2004, it work very well. M60 stop working after year and half.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat!

Pros: Fast response time, easy to press buttons, great software

Cons: The coating on the surface loves to collect dirt but its east to clean with windex or rubbing alcohol .

Other Thoughts: Although corsair has come out with an updated model to this I would still recommend this to a casual user or gamer.

4 out of 5 eggsMousing with a vengeance

Pros: * best side grips on a mouse ever, and I'm not using hyperbole--sweat-resistant, comfortable, not too big, not too small.
* the texture of the click buttons feeding into the rear of the mouse is also fantastically comfortable.

Cons: * side buttons are a little inconveniently high to press--the smaller your hands, the more inconvenient this might be.
* the weights are cheesy--sure it's "cool" to have weights, but they really don't change the weight of the mouse at all, since it's already a heavier mouse.

Other Thoughts: I've owned a logitech mx310, razer deathadder, cm storm spawn, and this mouse, as well as a recently purchased perixx mx3000 (due to review in the future).

I'm a claw/fingertip gripper with larger-than-average hands.

The corsair vengeance is one of a kind. It's pricey for a mouse, but the material its made out of is gawdlike, and I wish every mouse was made out of the stuff.

However, I ultimately ditched the vengeance due to the side buttons being too high (inconveniently placed), and the scroll wheel being too loose.

As an aside, the sniper button is relatively useless, so don't buy the mouse if you're thinking "oh, the sniper button feature is awesome." You have to hold it down and it completely disorients your hand from aiming accurately.

Lastly, this mouse is worth owning if for no other reason than the material its made out of... seriously.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Mouse I've Ever Had

Pros: I decided to treat myself to a good mouse when my $10 one died. It is amazing how much of a difference there is between this and any other mouse I've used. It feels solid, DPI is adjustable on the fly for your friends that aren't used to gaming sensitivity, and the braided cable is a nice touch.

Cons: Not for left handed people.

4 out of 5 eggsgreat mouse

Pros: Fits great in non-yeti hands, looks cool, the laser isn't overly sensitive like the RAT series from cyborg and hasn't had any mistracking or wobbles, selectable DPI profiles are great for on the fly gaming and some fine-tuning photoshop stuff.

Cons: The 'sniper' button is sort of gimmicky and a little far from my natural palm rest area so I have to reach a bit for it. It could have come with a bit more weights to put in. I've got all three loaded and it still feels a little on the light side. There was some software issue, which I've explained in the other and why I docked an egg

Other Thoughts: So I've seen a couple forms that have this issue posted as well, but sometimes (usually on reboot or waking up from sleep mode) the computer won't recognize the mouse and it won't work. Plugging and unplugging causes a brief flash of the LEDs but nothing more and it usually requires a cold boot to get the mouse recognized again. I never did figure out what the problem was but I fixed it by turning off USB legacy support in the BIOS.

System:
BIOSTAR TA990FX mobo
AMD FX-8120 processor
Win 7 64 bit
MSI R7850 GPU

3 out of 5 eggsGreat Product, Terrible Rebate system

Pros: Nice Mouse, with great options. The metal body is strong and the buttons feel great.

Cons: Rebate system leaves something to be desired. I followed the rebate instructions to the letter and received nothing.

Other Thoughts: Why do rebates still have to be done in such a way that makes it very difficult for the consumer to redeem them easily?
