3 out of 5 eggsGreat Headset.

Pros: While playing CSGO I find it very easy to pick out enemy via this headset.

Cons: For past 3-4 months I've had the cable zip tied because the headset was faulty and I didn't have the cash to RMA. Would advise everyone to get extended warrant if you get these as that seems to be a common problem.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't waste your money

Pros: Comfy...

Cons: Cable shorted out within the first two weeks. Complete waste of $30.00 I generally think highly of Corsair, but this is a major let down

1 out of 5 eggsGrrr

Pros: The one side that works sounds very good and clear.

Cons: Only one side of the headset works, i suspect its a design flaw as there are others with the same problem. Im not too happy , but what can you do?

Other Thoughts: Im going to RMA and if second set has the same problems i will try for a full refund.

2 out of 5 eggsGood cans, to bad they broke.

Pros: Cheap price, good sound. I didn't try for the rebate so I don't know if I would have got it. The mic is adjustable. While they probably look funny, the balance knobs could be useful if you needed them. Came with extension cables which was a very nice touch. For the price, the speakers sounded great. Some of the cleanest I've heard on headphones. Overall I was very impressed when I started using them and gave them a chance to "break in". (all headphones feel odd to me when I put them on at first.)

Cons: Like all of the headsets that I've had with an in line volume control, this broke after about a month of use. One side is always out. I suppose I should try for an RMA.

Other Thoughts: Great while I had them. But once that control knob went they were/are useless.

4 out of 5 eggsPleased!

Pros: I like the sound quality for the price
Well built, sturdy *This is why bought them they appeared to look sturdy*
Long cord
Comfortable fit for average game sessions (can get tiresome on the ears with long playtime)

Cons: As i stated can get tiresome on the ears after long play time i could imagine for some folks. Might be the size of my head, I have a bit bigger head then most.

I bought this with budget for quality in mind and this headset doesn't seem to disapoint! After all my expensive headsets snapping around the ear cuffs I don't pay for expesnive ones any more. I look for sturdy built ones.

Other Thoughts: Thanks Corsair! This Headset seems great!

I've only owned it for a while so i can't speak to the length of how long it lasts.

3 out of 5 eggsOkay Average Entry-Level Headset

Pros: -Good entry headset if you can get it on sale and with rebate. After owning this, I wouldn't pay more than twenty buckeroos for it.

-Thick and long cord/wire, which I like.

-Came with an extra cord extension, which is nice. The extension cord is very cheap and thin gauge though, but it works.

-Mic looks to be solidly built.

Cons: -I agree that the sounds are washed out.

-The rubbery volume adjustment knob (skin) on each ear-cup comes off easily when you turn it all the way. It feels cheap when you turn the knob. Needs better glue. I think it's poorly designed (the rubber skin over the knobs). Furthermore, I don't think the ear-cup volume knobs are necessary - I rarely use them. More places to go wrong.

-The outer plastic side of the ear-cup does feel cheap.

Other Thoughts: *Side note:

I noticed that I developed some kind of a rash around my ear and ear-lobes after using this headset for some times. It was itchy as he11. The headset is brand new and very clean, not oily or anything. I've been wiping the ear-cups down vigorously (with warm water) after every ~ 3 times of use. I think the factory sprayed something on the ear-cup foams to keep it fresh and new. Obviously I developed some kind of allergic reaction to it. Kind of like when you don't wash brand new clothes first, sensitive skin people develop a rash because the factory spray some kind of cleaning agent/etc. to keep the item smelling new and clean, or for storage purposes.

-I did not factor this into my rating of the headset because I am a person with sensitive skin and don't like cleaning agent, moth balls, fragrances, or smelly laundry/dryer sheets.

-If I had to do it over again, I would skip the Corsair's Raptor series products and go straight to their high end one (Vengeance). I still like Corsair as they make great products, but I'm NOT impressed with their Raptor-Gaming Series (so far), or their acquisition of the brand.

4 out of 5 eggsSolid, unsurprising

Pros: Headset is solidly build, takes a lot of abuse. Headset fits comfortable, wrappers over ear are large and accommodate my large ears well. Microphone records well, and won't fall out or disconnect: its on a hard rubber stick. Headset cord is massive, much be at least eight feet long.

Cons: Sounds are washed out, audio quality is lacking. Works fine for internet phone calls, but don't use these to listen to Bach.

Other Thoughts: Audio selectors on headset seem unnecessary. Matches its price point perfectly. Good entry level headset, but not good if you intend to do a lot of listening to things that are important.
