1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Comfortable, Ok sound

Cons: The Microphone on these are TERRIBLE. Returned after only a few hours of hearing my friends complain about the mic while gaming.

Other Thoughts: Do yourself a favor and skip the hassle of having to RMA these.

2 out of 5 eggsA pair of headphones

Pros: -Sound quality is quite good.
-Cord is extremely long.
-USB option
-Carrying Case(Though I wouldn't wear these outside)

Cons: -The mic would be better excluded, it is totally and completely useless.
-Never received rebate.
-Software is not user friendly
-Constant blue flashing LED.

The maker of these headsets got bought out, and Corsair doesn't seem to be improving any of the problems.

Other Thoughts: Tape over the LED, MAYBE the mic is usable with tons of boosting, but still pretty bad quality.

The audio alone is very good

2 out of 5 eggsdon't buy this mic

Pros: Speaker quality rocks
Comfortable
Long cord

Cons: MIC IS TERRIBLE!!!!! ON PROGRAMS LIKE TEAMSPEAK AND SKYPE, IT SOUNDS LIKE YOUR TALKING THROUGH A TIN CAN.

SOFTWARE FOR HEADSET IS NOT HELPFUL AND OUTDATED.

***MANY OTHERS ON CORSAIR SUPPORT FORUMS HAVE HAD THE SAME ISSUE***

Other Thoughts: CORSAIR HAS YET TO PROVIDE A SOLUTION

DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, GET A DIFFERENT HEADSET.

4 out of 5 eggsSurprised

Pros: I've been using this headset as my main headset for a couple of months now and I'm surprised by the level of the quality of the headset. The quality of the audio is a major plus for this headset and the volume control is quite easy and convenient. The headset itself is extremely comfortable and does not cause any discomfort at all, even after long use sessions of 4+ hours.

Cons: Microphone level is extremely quiet out of the box. I had to boost the audio levels anywhere from 20-30 db in order for whatever was being spoken to be audible. Tested it in programs like TeamSpeak3/Steam and, with the boost, the microphone was offering pretty good quality. Just make sure that the program you want to use has noise cancellation as an option or it is built-in because obviously with the boost you can get a lot of background noise.

Other Thoughts: I took a gamble on this headset as it was on-sale for $40 with a $30 mail-in rebate. Corsair processed the rebate extremely fast (within 1 month turnaround for those interested). I've been using it via 3.5mm, not by the USB adapter, and I've been using their drivers which you can get from their website for Windows 7 x64. Needless to say, my expectations going into this purchase were quite low (especially given the poor reviews on here) but after this experience, I would definitely buy a Corsair headset again and actually I'd probably prefer it at this point.

3 out of 5 eggsMicrophone quality is atrocious

Pros: - Sound quality is great.
- Headset feels well made and sturdy.
- Ear pieces are comfy.

Cons: - Mic is just horrible. I'm told that it sounds like I'm talking in another room or far away from my mic.

Other Thoughts: I originally got this headset as a replacement for my broken X11. Unfortunately the microphone on these are not that great and I have to plug in the microphone part of the X11 and lay it on my desk so I can talk to people in various chat programs.
Also noted that the blue led on the usb adapter is bothersome as it blinks whenever sound is coming through. Fortunately this can be fixed with some electrical tape unlike the microphone.

3 out of 5 eggsDecent Headset

Pros: Overall decent headset. Quite loud and comfortable, blocks a lot of outside noise, comes with carrying case, and good sound quality

Cons: The Mic sucks. As in, no one can understand you at all. Nor do I think it is just me who has had this problem. That being said, I have a webcam mic, so it wasn't a problem. The software it uses can be bothersome

Other Thoughts: Bought this as a replacement of a cheaper headset that lasted me ~3 years. I like it, but do wish the Mic was better. Sound quality is quite nice. Never got my rebate, which is annnoying.

1 out of 5 eggsWaste of Money

Pros: Adjustable Volume For Each Ear Piece

Cons: Squeeze Head
Uncomfortable for long periods of time
Microphone is not all that great
Left ear speaker is lower volume then right one when all the way up
Left ear when turned all the way to right below full volume... the ear piece loses audio

Other Thoughts: Tried to give it time, but not that a month has passed... these suck! and wish I could get my money back!

What is even worse is that I got 2 pairs and they both have the same issues... no wonder they were on sale!

2 out of 5 eggsGood sound, bad mic

Pros: The sound is great. I'm not an audiophile, but this was a great step up from my $20 headphones before this.

Cons: The mic is terrible. People say it sounds like the first ever radio, or like I'm playing in a bathroom or cave. Makes it hard for people to hear you in game over other noises.

Also, weight. It's not so bad at first, but after about an hour you'll notice just how heavy it is.

Other Thoughts: Great if you don't plan to use the mic too much. I would recommend something else.

3 out of 5 eggsA little disappointing

Pros: Amazing sound quality for the price
Very comfortable
Adjustable
Surround sound albeit through usb
Cannot hear a thing outside of whatever is playing in the headset

Cons: The mic quality is atrocious,if not sounding as though you're speaking through a tin can from 10 feet away, then it barely picks up your voice for in-game chat or any other application, I find myself yelling and still barely being heard. My old busted up headset I use for my xbox (Turtle beach earforce x11) has a better sounding microphone. Also, it didn't come with any instructions or any sort of troubleshooting guide on how to adjust certain things, and I have found very little about the headset itself online. Also the mic boom is rather short.

Other Thoughts: If for some reason your optical drive doesn't accept 80mm "pocket-CDs" then you'll have to download the driver from the manufacturer's site.
