3 out of 5 eggsok

Pros: It works.

Cons: Battery life is short, headset is too tight and gives headaches(look it up), they chose the worst usb connector this thing. I have a hard time plugging this thing in without marring the port.

4 out of 5 eggsGood headset, better than the Siberia V2 or Logitech headsets

Pros: With this headset i can hear all footsteps, and all the highs and lows in music. comfortable for less than 7 hour gaming sessions.

Cons: the hissing. it's bearable when using the headset but if you use the headset while charging and you arent playing any audio source, its terrible. the headset is also rather quiet until going into sound settings and raising it.

Other Thoughts: A really good headset, still worth the money even with the constant hiss, i've been accused of using hacks in every counter strike game ever since i got this headset :D

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Sound

Pros: Great sound, durable and not cheaply made, look great, feel great, wireless connection is never lost, software is user friendly.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I had to buy these from another source today because I couldn't wait for them to be shipped. Otherwise, I would have bought from Newegg. The headphones are really nice looking and sound great. The 7.1 is perfect. I play NFS Rivals and SWTOR and I hear so many new sounds now. I highly recommend these. They are not cheaply made. The head band is strong and the cans fit nicely over my ears blocking out outside noises. I really like that the cushions are made of a velvet like material and really soft. I have already had them on for more than 4 hours and forgot I was wearing them. The wireless connection is also a great feature. I have not lost connection as I was with the Logitech g930's I had. The software that you can install is really user friendly and has some pretty good presets you can use as well. If you are in the market for an average priced headset go for these. You won't be disappointed.

1 out of 5 eggsWorst Pair Ever!

Pros: I get to talk to people. They don't really feel bad when wearing them up to 4 hrs. 4+ hrs gets irritating. I can listen to one console while I charge it from another.

Cons: The volume quality is bad, it's not loud enough. People can not hear me because my mic is too low.
Some times I get static and there is a large buzzing noise if you use it while you charge it.
As far as the volume ball on the end, it doesn't seem to work ever on a console. The volume ball does work with the laptop.
Furthermore, The actual sound from the game has never worked, so I can only hear the chat.

Other Thoughts: It's a nice backup headset. It works but I would not have purchased these if I would of known the problems.

2 out of 5 eggs:( Not Real Surround

Pros: Good sound quality (general).

Cons: Fake surround. While the headset will take 7.1 channels of audio input it plays all the sounds through two speakers. So there is no sense of direction for front or rear audio. It's all simply left or right.

4 out of 5 eggsglad i bought it

Pros: -sound is great for gaming and music, surround sound makes a difference and nice (i'm not an audiophile)
-mic quality is pretty good and clear. like that flipping it up mutes the mic
-ear cups and head band are very comfortable and you hardly notice the headset when you are using your computer
-battery has never been a problem, no problem charging the headset with my desktop next to me
-the adapter for the dongle increases the wireless range dramatically (barely could go a few steps outside my room and keep the signal, now able to stay connected further)
-software very easy to use and toggle surround sound
-mutes out a fair amount of outside noise

Cons: -the ear cups can get hot. i run hot, so it can be an issue from time to time
-gf says i look ridiculous with them on...not surprised
-they feel solid, but i'm still not sold on the sturdiness of the swiveling joint connecting the ear cup to the headrest

Other Thoughts: i'm glad i bought the headset after putting off getting one for so long. i was worried about the hiss, but it's no worse than the hiss from turning on your computer speakers and the hiss given off from those when nothing is on. the hiss is pretty much gone, if not completely, when any sound starts coming off. thought it would be annoying, but it's not even worth putting in the con section.

5 out of 5 eggsSo Great

Pros: I love this headset. The sound so a godsend compairing it to any other headset. The battrey lasts about 8~10 hrs it rathers if you are far away from the USB. I had to replace my 12+ yr old headset, and at frist was not sure if i should have gone with the headset i bought. But im glad i bought it it was well worth thr price. the quilty of the product is great, i kinda expected alot less because i seen other mics fail alot in quilty. I also like when your mic is slide up it mutes, so you can have privacy. Over all i love the product. :)

Cons: sorry i cant find or think of anything thats bad.

Other Thoughts: i like the mic on my right side not the left. wish they had mic on the right.

5 out of 5 eggsIts like a pillow for my ears

Pros: This product has great sound quality, even for the microphone. You can actually feel the high crisp sounds and the low bass through your head. The ear pads are the most comfortable I've seen. I did a LAN with a few friends recently, and had the headset on for almost 12 hours straight. With my old headset my ears would get uncomfortable after maybe 4-5 hours of gameplay, but with this one, I haven't even felt uncomfortable at all since the day I got them. It is wireless, which is great for me since I tend to get stuck in my cables. The physical quality is what you would expect from Corsair products : Professionnal and classy looking, and a very sturdy structural build.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I can hear footsteps pretty far away when playing Counter Strike :)

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing sound, great battery life, Mac compatible

Pros: - Great sound
- Great Battery life
- Great Software (for Windows, anyway)
- Works well with toggling between computers (such as on a USB switch)
- Comfortable for my head
- Surprisingly light weight
- Mac Compatible
- Can get very loud (though still sounds good)
- USB!
- Very robust design
- Incredibly good price for what they are

Cons: - No Mac Software (though listed as "mac compatible", which it is otherwise), therefore no 7.1 sound on Mac

Other Thoughts: I just got a roommate so I needed some headphones for gaming/movies/whatever. I also have a USB switch and a 2 computer setup including a Mac. I use my USB switch and it quickly detects in Windows and Mac, without hardware emulation (basically a "dumb" switch).

I don't have a ton of experience with headphones but I tried some Gamecon wired headphones to have a basis for comparison. These edged out those pretty easily in a lot of respects including bass and comfort. I was not expecting them to be so light considering they were battery powered.

I am happy with the battery life but I keep them wired to USB (note the USB port is for power ONLY, requires wireless dongle for audio) so as to not wear out the battery. These headphones feel like they will last a very long time.

Make sure you enable 7.1 audio in the software after you install it. Corsair software is not intrusive but gives you a task-bar icon. You may want to tinker with the equalizer in the software. You can make your own presets but it comes with some good ones by default.

4 out of 5 eggsSolid Headset

Pros: Sound quality is nice. Not the best ever, but it's a set of gaming headphones.

The charge lasts a good long while.

The headseat is fairly comfortable considering it is not light.

The provided USB connection dongle works quite well, plug it in, hit the button on the headset, and you are good to go.

Those I talk to have not noticed anything odd with the sound quality, so the mic appears to be decent.

Cons: Not a con so much as a few warnings:

For the first few weeks it had a hard time being activated after launching certain apps with in-game voice clients.

It also can wreak havoc on games that only support 2.1 audio. I had to constantly reset the game and the headset software for the first month or so.

Both of those issues have resolved themselves, so I'm not sure if it was games or the hardware or the headset software.

Finally, if you like a push-to-talk option, you have to use a keybind to do so. It leads to weird situations where I am not at my computer and am listening to others, but cannot talk. So that is something to consider if you NEED a push-to-talk option on your headset itself.
