2 out of 5 eggsvraiment cheap

5 out of 5 eggsGREAT HEADPHONES

Pros: very comfortable even if you wear glasses but (see cons)
the sound is really good-of course as with any speaker/headphones there is a "burn in" period-they sounded good out of the box and just keep getting better
These were my first set of gaming headphones-and they needed to be wireless-the range is great-i get no lag or hissing-sound quality is great (really good separation-L to R and F to R-and the 7,1 surprisingly enough sounds really really nice) the mic works great and can be adjusted perfectly (flip up/mute works perfect and is nicely out of way) -yes these do put out a lot of bass-but that is never a problem-better to have to much than to be lacking. The battery life is great and can be used while charging if needed-overall after well over a year of use i have had ZERO issues with these-if you take care of them they are very durable-don't know how well they'd hold up getting thrown down or against a wall lol-but under normal use-and even taking w/me when traveling these are great headphones- for less than $100 that makes them even better

Cons: they could have a bit more adjustment for smaller heads-I dont have a small head and have these maxed down in size to fit-they are comfortable and stable enough not to dock an egg-but if 1/2 an egg was possible I would

Other Thoughts: for less than $100 these are great headphones-allow the proper "burn in" and play w/the settings until you dial them in perfectly-the user interface is simple but in depth enough to get your personal settings really nice-well over a year of use so far w/0 issues

4 out of 5 eggsCrackling sound

Pros: got it working

Cons: cracking and hissing if not configured properly

Other Thoughts: go into "headset earphone properties" and turn on "loudness equalization". my hissing and crackling went away, sounds great now.

4 out of 5 eggsGood in almost every way

Pros: Plop.fizz installation even with the ancillary software for equalizer and level settings.

Cons: I did not buy these to listen to music. I bought these for comms. There is no need for so much bass and low mids. (Of course "plenty" is great for games.)
Worse? even with EQ set -12dB from 30Hz to 250Hz it was still boomy. And I was comparing to 1) studio quality monitor spkrs and 2) Sony studio headphones i.e. a good standard.

Voice information is between 400Hz and 4KHz. Outside that range is "great fun" but carriers no information. (The crunch of shoes on gravel is //not// the stomp of boots on a roof!)

p.s. comm mics should be able to tuck in under the chin facing the throat. Mic on this lovely unit neither swung low enough nor bent enough.

Other Thoughts: I'm amazed anybody who knows audio let this design go through. Bass boomy even with music; worse with comms.

5 out of 5 eggsFirst Wireless Headset

Pros: Love these things so far.
Range is enough to walk around a whole floor of my house without losing signal, though it does drop when I go upstairs.
Fit snugly, and easy to adjust.
No setup required, at least in Windows 10.
Easy to use controls.
Sound is very good, at least for me, but I am by no means an audiophile (sp?).
Surround sound effect actually works.
Charges fairly quickly, and lasts at least 8 hours (haven't tested for the full 10 hour advertised duration yet).
Can be used while plugged in, for those times when you forgot to charge it, or just can't wait for a full charge.

Cons: Surround sound does work, but isn't as strong a separation as I would have liked. For example, the difference between Forward-Left and just Left, and between Behind-Left and just left can be a bit subtle, though Forward-Left and Behind-Left is easily noticeable. Still, not worth knocking the score for.

Other Thoughts: Not noise cancelling (and not advertised as such), but earpiece materials do a fair job of noise isolation. (I wasn't willing to pay the noise cancelling premium)

3 out of 5 eggsNot bad, but not worth $100

Pros: Good comfort for adults.
The microfiber-wrapped memory foam ear pads are honestly wonderful.
Nice sound quality.
works well as wireless.
Sound cancellation is so good that I had to take them off to know that I was hearing a helicopter over my house.
Solid durable build construction.
Swiveling ear cups are very movable/flexible.
The Corsair audio software is very easy and simple to use.
Has a surprisingly long battery lifespan.

Cons: Mic sound is so surprisingly bad with a "hissing" feedback that I looked it up to see if it was just me, but it's confirmed that many users have also had this issue according to the Corsair support forums in which Corsair offers RMA for the issue.

The adjustability for the headsets size to go smaller is quite lacking

Other Thoughts: If I could return this I would just get the Corsair void, or would suggest getting a different headset instead of this if you can find something better unless the price on this H2100 drops a bit more.

make sure to set this as your default sound device after you've allowed it to fully charge.

I walked 30 to 40 feet to my refrigerator and still heard our voice chat server just barely start to cut out

2 out of 5 eggsNo bass in left ear

Pros: - Lightweight
- Good looking
- Very soft earpads

Cons: When they came in, the left ear had no bass. It creates a mixed sound and makes you dizzy.

Other Thoughts: Buy paying a over 100$ headset, I thought it would be high quality.
I had the 2000 for over a year and gave them to my brother, I wanted to buy the 2000 again but could only find the H2100.
If you compare the two, the H2100 feels more premium but fragile at the same time.
Like I said, my pair came with the left ear lacking bass compared to the right ear. When on your head you have the impression that the Left ear is Louder but it actually lacks bass. I tried them for 30 minutes before having a headache since both ears are not on the same level of sound.

Very disappointed in the quality of recent Corsair products.
I did an RMA for a Replacement instead of Refund to give Corsair a second chance.
Now I'm stuck playing without a headset for a unknown period of time.
