1 out of 5 eggsLook Somewhere Else !

Pros: Overall built very well. I have stepped on it several times and it has held up very well.

Cons: After 6 months of daily use the sound has dropped dramatically. And I have had to adjust the pin location where it plugs into the extension that came with it. So I know it is with the headset and Not the extension cable.

Other Thoughts: Wish it had last longer but into the waste basket it goes.

4 out of 5 eggsWorth the money

Pros: Solid build quality. This includes the included extension cable - I've ran over it several times already in my computer chair, have not lost functionality.

Good length when using included 3.5mm extension cable.

My friends say the microphone audio quality is very good - no issues with clarity. Sounds for DDO, BF3, and various Youtube/Videos have been amazing.

Using the optional felt-like cups (included), they are much better for long-term (multi-hour) wear. Do not become painful/uncomfortable/too hot/itchy at any point - none of these issues have arisen.

Plug and Play - very little "tweaking" necessary. I'm sure true audiophiles would do more than me, but all I needed to do was disable the subwoofer in a 5.1 setting.

Cons: There is not a hardware solution to mute the microphone or to change the volume of the headset. You will have to use your software-based solutions for this. Also, the headband/adjuster area is too loose, meaning it does not really stay "snug". It's not too noticeable to me, but I felt it worth mention.

Other Thoughts: Pro and Con - the Microphone is built solid. This means it is not likely to break/distort, but also that it does not have the capability of bending further away from, or closer to, your face. It can be slid in and out of the earpiece housing, however, giving it some lateral travel.

I go through *a lot* of headsets, and from some of the bigger brands. I've found they either have poor audio in quality, poor audio out quality, poor build quality, or setup issues. I have found none of these things when using this headset.

It costs less (and will likely continue to cost less) than more popular "gaming" solutions, yet seems to do the job better than any of them. Would buy again, would recommend to friends/fellow gamers.

Pros: NONE

Cons: The left driver (speaker) on this headset ceased to function after exactly "ONE" use. Talk about a quality control failure. Don't waste your time and money. I'm going to have to contact newegg now and get this issue resolved which is going to take up my time.

Other Thoughts: I gave a new product a chance and it turned out to be a waste of time and money. Stick with the brands and products that have high reviews.
