Mionix, the Swedish manufacturer of professional high-end gaming accessories, brings you the ENSIS series of high-performance gaming mousepads, developed with their own Surface Quality Analyzer Tool (S.Q.A.T).
S.Q.A.T. Explained
The Surface Quality Analyzer Tool is built into Mionix mice such as the NAOS 5000 gaming mouse (sold separately), and measures the data loss between images of the surface taken by the mouse sensor. This information is translated in to a rating between 1 and 10, where a low number represents a higher data loss and a higher number represents a lower data loss between the surface and the mouse sensor. Mousepads rated 8/10 or above will provide no loss of tracking and improved accuracy.
S.Q.A.T. analysis can help eliminate tracking issues that even many professional gamers experience, which lead to bad accuracy when moving the mouse very quickly in games. When it comes to bad tracking sensitivity, in most cases the issue is not created by the sensor solution in the gaming mouse, but instead is due to a poor quality gaming surface which are not optimized for the gaming-grade sensors used today in professional-quality mice.
The ENSIS Range
The black-coated ENSIS 320 and hairline-brushed ENSIS 320 LUNA not only look sleek but are constructed of super-fine aluminum alloy. A 2mm low profile and super smooth surface make the ENSIS range one of the most high-end gaming surfaces to date.
The Mionix ENSIS 320 is made of forged 1mm aluminum alloy for a strong but lightweight construction. The surface has been treated with a very low data loss treatment, which gives a matte black glow. ENSIS 320 LUNA is made of forged 1mm aluminum alloy as well, but features a hairline-brushed surface that maintains the full metallic luster of the alloy. A 1mm natural rubber underside on both mousepads provides non-slip grip while still maintaining a very low overall profile of 2mm. Many months of testing were carried out to ensure that these aluminum mouse pads have an extremely low data loss while still maintaining ultra-low-friction glide.

Pros: cold hard steel, series... I mean Mionix aluminum jokes aside, this will keep your wrist cool while using
Cons: the outside packaging was literally easy-opening but inside there were atleast a halfdozen barely-detectable layers of various forms of mostly-plastic 'protection' that were insanely difficult removing without damaging the surface itself and succeeded in trapping layers of dust underneath
more than I'd have liked to pay for a "rodent's nest"
Other Thoughts: slightly narrower in width than XFX WarPad and MUCH shorter and shallower than it...I literally use both SxS though there's obviously less usable surface compared to the warpad this ensis has much smoother handling with greater sensitivity/DPI levels (due to its hardness I'll presume?) but opposite holds true for lower sensitivities I tend to use the Mionix mouse on this product and my steelseries sensei on XFX' warpad but often swap

Rating: 1/5Awesome for a while...
Pros: Great when you first buy it. Smooth as heck!
Cons: Once any amount of wear sets in, your mouse won't track properly. The surface (especially in the middle) gets distorted...
Other Thoughts: Maybe don't buy metal?

Rating: 4/5High end with top notch tracking
Pros: Looks high end and tracks exceptionally well. Good hard mouse surface, which is what I was looking for. Plenty of mouse pad real estate to move around on. No flashy gamer graphics on the pad. Just a nice clean and sexy surface.
Cons: Surface does show marks from mouse movement, but it seemed to be barely visible hairline scuff marks rather than obvious scratches for me.
Other Thoughts: Unless you have a serious case of OCD, the mouse scuffing probably isn't going to bother you. Using Logitech G9X mouse with this.

Rating: 5/5Eye Catcher!
Pros: nice hard flat smooth surface. Looks that kill! Came with two protective sheets on the metal surface that i removed before gaming. The surface tracks really well.
Cons: You may want to ensure your current mouse has smooth clean feet under it. I need to brush the surface often to keep any particles that may come between the mouse feet and the surface. Failure to do so ma cause scratches to occur.
Other Thoughts: I keep a horse hair brush at my desk to keep the surface clean and smooth. I am using a corsair M60 mouse a right now and the feet are somewhat worn out from using it on th Mionix propus 380 gaming surface. New mionix mouse on the way. I will update this entry in 4-8 weeks. I play fps games 30+hrs/week. fyi

Rating: 2/5Smooth and not perfect.
Pros: Smoothest mouse pad I've ever used
Cons: Scratches easily making your mouse move slowly (explained).
Other Thoughts: Bought this mouse pad with the Mionix 8200. This mouse pad is great, feels amazingly smooth (best I've ever felt), but I've only had this for 2 weeks and the Mionix 8200 has somehow scratched it up to the point where I can see specs of silver (guessing it took off its coating?) I only noticed this because my mouse was moving oddly slow like it was catching something during DayZ play. I switched back to my Razer Scarab BF3 edition mouse pad and it seems to work great with it. For a $40 mouse pad i did not expect for this to happen with their own brand of mouse, which BTW the Mionix 8200 mouse is pretty great I upgraded from the Razer Imperator.
I wouldn't recommend this mouse pad, instead get the Razer Scarab mouse pad, same price and it won't scratch because of the material and tracks just as well.
As to why this happened, maybe my Mionix 8200 got fault foot pad under it I have no idea, it didn't do it for the first 2 weeks or maybe I just didn't notice till now but regardless for this price for a mouse pad it shouldn't slow my mouse down to the point where it makes it slow to aim, thus making it useless.

Rating: 5/5Nice
Pros: Seems to work very well with the mionix NAOS 8200. I've never had any problems with a stuttering like response and the pad is the advertised 2mm of thickness. Also, it's bigger than I thought, taking up just about as much room as my previous mouse pad which was 12x12.
Cons: I use the mouse mostly in the "claw" hand style, but there appears to be small scratches starting to form. I've only owned this pad for about 3 days so this could be a concern 6 months or a year down the line (I don't put much, if any, pressure on the mouse when operating it).
Other Thoughts: If the endurance holds out for the next few years this will be an outstanding product. I already think it's very good just after a few days.

Rating: 5/5Impressive Response & Tracking
Pros: Black brushed aluminum mouse pad that yields 100% response from the Mionix Surface Analyzing Tool software. Aluminum is a great surface for laser sensors.
Very easy to clean and keep clean.
Aesthetically looks very nice.
Cons: Initially cold to the touch but warms up as with any aluminium mouse pad. It's a CON but I'm not removing an egg for something that doesn't hinder mouse performance. Otherwise I'd rate it a 4 egg review.
Other Thoughts: Can show smudges from palm sweat when gaming. It's so easy to clean though it's not a CON.
If you can deal with the cold touch that warms up after a little bit of time, you will be impressed with the tracking responsiveness and accuracy you will get from an aluminium surface.

Rating: 5/5Amazing!
Pros: On a cloth pad at 3200 dpi, my laser mouse previously would stutter and move in the wrong direction when attempting to move mere pixels, but not at all on this. Solves all my problems.
Cons: None
