Mionix, the Swedish manufacturer of professional high-end gaming accessories, brings you the ENSIS series of high-performance gaming mousepads, developed with their own Surface Quality Analyzer Tool (S.Q.A.T).
S.Q.A.T. Explained
The Surface Quality Analyzer Tool is built into Mionix mice such as the NAOS 5000 gaming mouse (sold separately), and measures the data loss between images of the surface taken by the mouse sensor. This information is translated in to a rating between 1 and 10, where a low number represents a higher data loss and a higher number represents a lower data loss between the surface and the mouse sensor. Mousepads rated 8/10 or above will provide no loss of tracking and improved accuracy.
S.Q.A.T. analysis can help eliminate tracking issues that even many professional gamers experience, which lead to bad accuracy when moving the mouse very quickly in games. When it comes to bad tracking sensitivity, in most cases the issue is not created by the sensor solution in the gaming mouse, but instead is due to a poor quality gaming surface which are not optimized for the gaming-grade sensors used today in professional-quality mice.
The ENSIS Range
The black-coated ENSIS 320 and hairline-brushed ENSIS 320 LUNA not only look sleek but are constructed of super-fine aluminum alloy. A 2mm low profile and super smooth surface make the ENSIS range one of the most high-end gaming surfaces to date.
The Mionix ENSIS 320 is made of forged 1mm aluminum alloy for a strong but lightweight construction. The surface has been treated with a very low data loss treatment, which gives a matte black glow. ENSIS 320 LUNA is made of forged 1mm aluminum alloy as well, but features a hairline-brushed surface that maintains the full metallic luster of the alloy. A 1mm natural rubber underside on both mousepads provides non-slip grip while still maintaining a very low overall profile of 2mm. Many months of testing were carried out to ensure that these aluminum mouse pads have an extremely low data loss while still maintaining ultra-low-friction glide.

2 out of 5 eggsNot worth the price

Pros: The mousepad looks great when I first opened it, and it stayed in place really well. I often found my RAT 7 mouse had trouble tracking on my desk and this did the trick.

Cons: After just using it, scratches were already really bad on the surface. I've been using it for about 2-3 months now and the scratches have gone all the way through to the black coating on the mousepad. For $40 for a mousepad I'd expect it to last longer than a couple months as apposed to a regular mousepad that can last you years.

Other Thoughts: Overall looks nice, but definitely not worth the price. I use my computer a lot so it probably wore down the surface fast. Don't use it too much or for too long because the coating on it will start rubbing off onto your hands/clothes!

3 out of 5 eggsMionix

Pros: spacious, silver. looks nice, out of the box...

Cons: almost 2 months of use, the topcoat us rubbing off onto my fingers and hands, leaving them Silver. and my mouse is leaving scratches all over it. my last pad i have for over 2 years and it held up alot better.

Other Thoughts: seems like its a light duty mouse pad. i wouldn't recommend it to anyone who uses a mouse more than a couple hours a day.

4 out of 5 eggsIt's A Mouse Pad

Pros: Nice finish, smooth and stays in place quite well. My Cyber Sniper laser mouse works very well on this pad. I have used other higher priced mouse pads that do not hold up as well as this one.

Cons: The finish on the mouse pad does come off and gets all over the bottom of the mouse. I have to regularly clean it off. There is definitely an area of the pad surface that is void of any finish...looks worn out now.

Other Thoughts: I'm sure the maker of this mouse pad has a good reason to apply a finish to the mouse pad but what for? All it does is create a mess on the mouse and a person's hand after a while.

4 out of 5 eggssmooth

Pros: Beautiful design. Very solid with no slip under the pad. Well packaged and came in a large box so nothing could get bent. Super easy to clean and don't have to worry about the coating that gets all nasty on other metal pads.

Tested working great with both the RAT 9 and G700.

Cons: Ok you might not like this but it does scratch easily !!! I had two different mice on this ( RAT 9 and G700 ) and both scratched the surface. NOW don't panic but it was easy to see that the feet had some debris or dust so I cleaned that up and no more scratching. I couldn't feel anything weird when this happened so I just started noticing this after testing out my mice.

Other Thoughts: The scratches I chalked up to an industrial look and its really grown on me. I would buy this again without a doubt.

5 out of 5 eggsa mouse pad worth its money

Pros: #1 comparing to other fiber type mouse pads this will not grow any bacteria or such.
#2 easyyyyyy to clean.
#3 design
#4 future investment. cause in the long run i dont think ill be replacing this mouse pad for a while.
#5 id say 8.5/10 with the glide feeling
#6 grips nice
#7 veryy good size.
#8 the design is is curved in so you can get a wrist pad to fit right in. perfect.

Cons: It does eat up the mouse skates little bit faster than your avg mouse pad, but not a noticeable difference.

Other Thoughts: bought this and a mionix mech keyboard so far mionix has done me good.

5 out of 5 eggsquality mouse pad

Pros: beautiful brushed aluminum, rubber base on entire surface = will not slip and slide, very thin

Cons: none at this point, I would purchase it again in a heartbeat
Mionix site stated it may not work with optical mice, FYI, laser only.
I tested several mice on this pad and all of them worked great except an OCZ Equalizer laser mouse, it works but for whatever reason is was jumpy and jerky, different dpi did not help, must of been that specific laser in that mouse did not like this surface.

Other Thoughts: Its expensive, but should last a very long time. Using a Corsair M60 mouse on it, the Corsair software has a built in mouse surface test, this mouse pad tested between 4 and 5 (5 being highest) so I've average it out to 4.5 overall. In comparison my Icemat (current favorite) scored a solid 4. I also tested an OCZ cloth mat which tested only 3.
