5 out of 5 eggsAmazing, so convenient, and even works on the original/Classic Playseat

Pros: This is a seat slider for the Playseat racing seat. I wish I'd bought this 9 years ago, when I bought my original Playseat. It might've saved me the 6 hernia operations I've had since I got the seat, not realizing that stretching to reach the adjustment knob behind the wheel, while trying not to crush the wheel itself, is really bad for your abdominal muscles......even if you don't realize you're straining,

That aside, I would recommend this seat for anyone. I used to dread having to get up to go to the bathroom, or I'd get all situated in the seat and realize I'd left the TV muted and the remote is on the couch.....then the whole knob twiddling and getting your wheel back in the right position.

I use scotch tape on my frame to mark where to stop sliding the frame and tighten it down. I just had to move my tape mark back, maybe 6 inches for where the frame goes into the bottom of the seat, and that's more tape. I can keep my wheel clamped in the same position at all times, and when I need to get in or out of it, it's as easy as pulling the bar under the seat.

Assembly is easy and this thing is made of some seriously heavy duty materials. Like, the sliders feel like they were pulled out of a real car. They are thick, heavy steel (in a good way, they don't add much weight to the seat), so if you're over the suggested weight for the Playseat, and are worried that these might fall apart, don't. They are well nigh indestructible and so amazingly convenient. Now I never hesitate to set up the seat when I have spare time, because it takes less than 5 minutes. Lubricated with regular old petroleum jelly, so if any gets on you or your clothes (highly unlikely unless you're installing it) the grease won't stain, AND it's available anywhere should you decide the slider needs to be lubricated.

It locks into place with the satisfying "Ka-clunk" sound that a real car seat makes.

Cons: There are pretty much none.....

*They get a little crazy with the aforementioned petroleum jelly, so expect to get some on your biggie.

*No instructions included, but a little googling found lots of info on how to install it, plug the manual is available in PDF form online.

*The white stickers that tell you to "face this side toward the seat" actually show a little once its assembled, since the slider sticks out the sides of the base's standard profile a once you know how to orient it you may want to consider peeling them off prior to assembly. In my case, I just did the best I could to black them out with a Sharpie (which met with limited success, since there are a couple holes beneath the sticker, and I'm pretty sure I got little sticker bits in my sliding mechanism....but oh well, it's build like a tank, and a little paper aint gonna stop it from sliding!).

Other Thoughts: Unless you and all your friends are light as a feather and thin as a rail, able to snake in and out of the seat without making adjustments....then this thing is definitely for you.

At the price it goes for, it might seem like some kind of option accessory money grab, but it is 100% worth it, both from a quality workmanship perspective and for its convenience.

I can't describe how much fun I have playing Daytona USA on the M2 emulator with a force feedback wheel, and as such, I can't describe how awesome it is being able to share the experience with friends without any awkward adjustments having to be made every time a new person takes a turn around the track.
