Marketed as, and used by me as a protector between laptop screen and keys, because squishy laptops will mark their own screens. Works perfectly, and I always have it flat instead of rolled up. Since it's always flat, I've never had fraying issues. Cons: After about three years now, the rubbery side is breaking down and leaving material on my work desk. Time to get a new one. Other Thoughts: Not sure if there was a build-material change between when I bought mine and when the other reviewer bought his, but I highly recommend it for the price, based on my experience. Cons: has a strange feel to the surface, uncomfortable on the skin. after removing the plastic off the bottom it just felt like semi-melted rubber, not adhesive as the packaging reads. stuck down the 1st few days and now i can feel and hear it rising\unsticking from the surface of my keyboard tray every time i lift my hands off of it: very annoying sound. slides around.
