1 out of 5 eggsDisappointed

Pros: Well it looks cool.

Cons: For some reason I thought this had a hard backing so I can use it in my lap. It does not. But that's ok I attepted to use it on my desk. I have a new Logitech performance mx mouse that works on any surface except this one lol. It does glide smooth. But my mouse skips on it. I have tried two of these mice both new, and they both do the same. Nothing I can Do so ill just find a different mouse pad and try again.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat pad!

Pros: My mouse glides like butter on the pad, it sits flat, never disappointed me. just the right pad for my gaming mouse.

The pad also sits just fine on my wooden table! not sure why are the other reviewers complaining about this product.

Cons: The edges might curve over a very long time, though this can be fixed by putting a piece of rough cloth on top of the pad, get your cloth iron and iron the cloth on top of the pad, get something heavy (I used books) and put them on top of the pad for maximum 5 minutes. Your pad is now flat!

The edges curved after about 6 months of purchase, my pad was flat after ironing it.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Quality

Pros: Love the size and the lack of branding on the pad itself. Came in a nice plastic box that should protect it in shipping. Nice rubber bottom, it doesn't slip around on my glass table which is a major plus. Amazing for the price as well.

Cons: Might need to get a new table because its bigger than what I expect, but that is my fault.

Other Thoughts: Looks like I will be using it a lot more in the future. Upgraded from a standard $5 mouse pad.

5 out of 5 eggsFlexible hard pad

Pros: Smooth black very slight gloss surface which is great for laser sensor mice to track. Mouse glides effortlessly across the top.

Just the right size in between large and small. It's a good mid-size pad that will allow for aggressive gaming and not a huge imprint on your desktop.

Sticks well to desk with no movement and the rubber bottom isn't gluey. Doesn't leave residue.

Cons: Not solid all the way through but not a con just a preference.

Other Thoughts: Tracking with laser mice does well on this surface at about 90% accuracy. However not a wise choice for optical mice which would lower accuracy to about 70%.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: I've had this for a little more than a month, and I don't see the issues the other reviewers have with it. The flat packaging is a bit of a pain, but they ship it that way to protect it. The pad itself is in great condition.

My preference is to have as little drag as possible, but also keep it low profile. If that is you, then this is the one to get.

It has just a little cushion from the soft pad underneath, but a hard shell on top, so its slick, but not as hard on your hand (over extended use) than the hard plastic pads. With my Logitech Performance MX & G9 mice, it takes almost no force to move the mouse. Especially with the G9.

I picked up 2 other pads that were much higher rated by users, and they have 5 times the drag from friction. So I don't understand why people are rating these things like this.

To me: Less drag = less carpel tunnel, and faster reaction time. So this is it. But if anyone knows of a pad the incurs less friction, let me know.

Cons: None

1 out of 5 eggsNever buy Roccat Products!

Pros: It was nice for the first two weeks

Cons: Too many to name. First, this mat started curling around the edges after about two weeks. Would have been fine, but Roccat's tech support is anything but supportive. They have no phone number, and a single email address that takes days to get a response from. They demanded that I ship the mat back to them in order to get a replacement, which would cost me $10 (half the price of the mat). They refused to do anything else despite telling me that this is a common problem with the Sota. Don't waste your time with roccat - they make low quality hardware and a have a total lack of support. Stick to good brands like Logitech, razer, and corsair (logi and corsair have incredible customer service, btw!)

Other Thoughts: Never have had worse customer service for a supposedly premium product. I wont make the mistake again.

1 out of 5 eggsdisappointing

Pros: it does indeed have foil inside

Cons: ive owned this pad for over 2 years...it has never sat flat, not very stationary on a wooden desk, just slides all of the time. did I mention that it has never sat flat? And now it has begun delaminating, I can see the different layers of material including the foil layer. save your cash and get something cheaper.... I have an old cloth mousepad from fellows that is six years old and dispite some fraying at two of the corners, is still together and bought for less than 10 bucks

Other Thoughts: surface was really slick and worked good until the "sandwich" came apart. Cheap adhesives used in manufacturing= customer not buying products again. This thing should be sold at the wallymart for 3 bucks to be fair.
I will not be spending anymore than ten bones on a mouse pad ever again let alone buying anymore roccat products. I have a set of there earphones, now I'm wondering when they're going to fail.
