5 out of 5 eggsMouse pad on Steroids

Pros: Big
Durable
Smooth surface

Cons: Price
Grip

Other Thoughts: This mouse pad is a bit on the expensive side especially after tax and S&H.

The mouse pad doesnt grip to my desk as well as i thought it would, slides around a bit (off my desk), but its so big and thick that it doesnt effect my gameplay

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: very large, i've been trying out low sensitivities for gaming recently, and the large surface is great. I've owned this for over 2 years and it is in great condition. the edges are a little frayed, but other then that, its in great shape. The surface makes it very effortless to move your mouse over, but is soft enough to feel good against your skin.

Cons: I kinda want an even larger mouspad

5 out of 5 eggsflawless

Pros: just got my second one (black). My mother stole the first edition blue one I had for two years. This mousepad is extremely durable. Aside from the minimal fraying around the edges from heavy fps (cs:s) play, it is a survivor. Withstood spills of soup, orange juice, milk, and beer. True soldier.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: It's worth the money.

5 out of 5 eggsBest mouse pad I have ever had

Pros: Great surface feel, almost like a leathery type of material. Very smooth; my mouse (G9) glads over it like a knife through butter.

Cons: NONE!

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Pad

Pros: I've owned this pad like the last few reviewers for over 3 years. It's survived a G5, a DeathAdder, and currently a G500 mouse. It's big, very smooth and seems pretty durable/long lasting.

Cons: Like others have pointed out, after awhile, the edges do become frayed. I spilled water on this before, but I wiped it off and dried it thoroughly. The slickness still maintained and fortunately what little water seeped in didn't really soften up the pad.

Other Thoughts: I think my own 5L is at it's twilight, while nowhere as smooth as it was when I first got it, it is causing a bit more drag than usual the past few months. I may get another one, but I want to get a 5L that is printed with the nice graphics it has rather than a plain black colored one. Mine has printed graphics on it. Still, the best mousepad I've ever owned.

5 out of 5 eggsStill the Best

Pros: Owned the printed version of this pad for about 3 years and I see no need to replace this anytime soon. This simply is the best mat I've ever used. My Deathadder glides across this precisely and smoothly. Aside from a small bit of freying on the edge in some places, the pad looks very good for its age despite liquid spills, food, and daily use. Still performs as well as it did the day I unpacked it. Sometimes it feels like your mouse is gliding across air.

Cons: I really can't think of any. I was going to say price, but considering the durability and longevity of this cloth hybrid pad you'll get your money's worth.

Other Thoughts: If for some reason I do have to replace this pad, I will buy another 5L without hesitation. That shouldn't be an issue however, unless mine is stolen, attacked by wild dogs, or set on fire.

5 out of 5 eggs12,000+ hours

Pros: After over 12,000 hours of service in the past three years, I am shocked at how good of shape this mousepad is in. I have the old "printed" version which is no longer available and it has served me faithfully since the day it showed up at my doorstep.

Cons: As with all fabric topped mousepads, it has a tendency to collect wrist skin and is a pain to clean off.

Aside from that, I've got nothing. Sure, it's worn down a bit after three years, but I have no doubt it has a few more left in it.

Other Thoughts: I hate to see it go, but I think it's time to try another SteelSeries mousepad. Rest assured I will be keeping this one locked up somewhere safe should it's replacement fail to live up to the legacy of 5L!

5 out of 5 eggsVery good pad!

Pros: This is excellent for gaming mice! I've used both the Logitech G5 and G9 mice on it, and it works beautifully. The surface is smooth and easily cleaned. I accidentally spilled soda on it once, and it cleaned right up with a damp towel with no residual stickyness. I like that it is rigid, easy to maintain, and lets my mouse glide across it like its on air. It is thicker than most of those thin gaming pads, which I like, as my keytray has a raised edge to it along the front. It sticks well to my keytray, and I do not have a problem with it sliding around.

Cons: Only 2 thinks I can even remotely consider as a con:
The curved end left a gap at the edge of my keyboard tray, but this is easily remidied by rotating it 180 degrees, as the top is straight / flat.
You will need a lot of space to accomodate this pad. Measure your work area before purchase.

Other Thoughts: I've owned this pad for about 5 months now, and there is no visible discoloration on the pad (despite very heavy usage), and there is no fraying along the edges. It really is a great product, and I can tell it will last quite a long time. 5 stars from me.
