2 out of 5 eggsWas fine for about a month...

Pros: Straight, sticky bottom

Cons: Cheaply made

Other Thoughts: Got this a few months ago and it was fine for the first month, then I noticed some gunk on my desk. When I tried to wipe it off, I realized it was the gel from the inside of this wrist pad.

I don't mess with it a lot, in fact, it has generally stayed in the same place for the duration of me owning it, but for some reason, the seams around it are starting to come undone and now it's leaking that gel gunk everywhere.

I'll probably get another few weeks out of it, but this seems like such a silly thing to not be able to get right. I mean, how hard is it to make a solid seam?

5 out of 5 eggsWrist Rest Review!

Pros: Soft, and squishy, yet stable. This wonderful wrist wrest provides hours of comfort while easing the stress of having your hands at the keyboard. Highly recommended for people with Carpal Tunnel syndrome, such as myself.

Cons: Due to it's silicone underside, it WILL trap water should you spill something near it. Other than that, Eggscelent product!

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It's a decent gel based rest that's lasted quite a while.

Cons: It offers a good amount of resistance which can be a put-off but it's better than a hard table. My main gripe with this is the adhesive that sticks the cover to the base wore off after a year of use and now I get clumps of hardened gel and adhesive coming off every now and then.

2 out of 5 eggsNot quite what I'd expected, but close

Pros: No-skid backing, length is good for standard keyboard. Two eggs rather than zero because these are still much better than anything at a department store.

Cons: Manufacturer's specifications are incorrect! These really measure 0.5" x 18.5" x 2.75", not the 0.875" x 20" x 3" as shown on the Specifications tab. I can't decide if the biggest problem is height or width: Two of these stacked up gives a usable height but are wobbly, and they're still not as wide or deep as advertised. Being so thin vertically (0.5") there's not much compressibility; feels almost like solid rubber with very little "give". Also the rubber is very smelly (burnt hair or carpet come to mind) and that's not fading after sitting out in the open for 2 days.

Other Thoughts: It's a small thing, but I depend on wrist rests every day. I don't have Carpal Tunnel or anything, but a proper wrist rest can make the difference between comfort and discomfort. Back in "the day" I could buy a heavier-duty model at Office Depot than what they carry nowadays, but all they have now are really light and flimsy made from cardboard and something like Styrofoam. I don't have a small-range scale, but if my favorite model weighs maybe 2 pounds, this one is probably half a pound or less. It's also half the height and not nearly as long as I'd hoped it would be. It *is* the length of a common $5 Dell keyboard with inverted "T" and numeric keypad, but not nearly long enough for my 20.5" wide Avant Stellar 116 (think Northgate Omnikey 112). Hoping to stock up as this seems to be a dying item, I ordered 5 -- but I'll be sending 3 of them back as both of my kids like them better than the rolled-up towels they've been using. Overall, yeah, it beats a rolled-up towel.
