I appears that this will last a good long time. Construction is very good. Very smooth and should work with any mouse you have. I would recommend this one to anyone who wants a mouse pad that is big and will last a good long time. Cons: Non Other Thoughts: This pad is big, but for the money is well worth it. Cons: Contrary to the name, the speed edition has slower glide than the control edition. I have a friend with the control version, and there is definitely more drag on the speed. It's not a huge deal since I play on really high sensitivity anyway. Knocked an egg simply because I felt there wasn't clarification on the difference between control and speed. Other Thoughts: say you're playing on the same dpi, this is what you'll get: speed = more friction, slower mouse movement control = less friction, faster mouse movement Names are tricky... but the speed edition feels better on my hand than the control. This allows me exacting precision and lighting quick movement. This mousepad is the best there is. It is just as fast as those hard mousepads but provides control that isn't found on those. Cons: when bent it stays slightly bent for a few minutes. not a real problem. Other Thoughts: When buying the pad I thought the design was heat applied plasticy stuff. I absolutely love the surface on here. My mouse floats nearly effortlessly. I needed to turn my sensitivity down a little bit on this mousepad for gaming, which is fine, I love the way this handles my Diamondback. Cons: None yet Other Thoughts: It's a great gaming pad. $20 might seem steep to you but I've had the grand pleasures of working with shoddy (at best) mousepads and I felt like I deserved something made of higher quality.
