4 out of 5 eggsRazer Vespula RZ02-00320100-R3U1

Pros: speed or accuracy, looks good, size is right for me, easy to clean

Cons: Price. one side surface separated.

Other Thoughts: I bought 4 of them over several years for my son (48 yrs old) and for 2 of my grandsons and 1 for me. Grandsons are rough on most of all stuff but are working good without no problems for about a year. My son's is several years old and it works good, has some scratches. the other pads are scratched bad, mine is not because I clean it and dust it almost every day. I took the clothes iron on 'low' and it seems that worked on fixing the surface separate.

5 out of 5 eggsso smooth!

Pros: Comfortable wrist rest, looks cool, functions great.

Cons: A little expensive as most razer products are because of the name.

Other Thoughts: I decided to splurge on this mouse pad when I went to my local computer store. I hesitated at first because of the price but I figured if I am going to use this thing every day its worth it. Boy am I glad i bought this. My mouse feels so much more responsive and glides with ease across the surface. After getting used to the wrist rest my hand and wrist feel so much better after long gaming sessions. I play at LEAST 30 hours of games a week plus regular computer usage and this mouse pad has made the overall experience much better. BUY

2 out of 5 eggsDESTROYS ITSELF REGARDLESS OF USE.

Pros: Dual control surfaces allow speed or accuracy
grip/wrist pad
Surface size

Cons: Surfaces separate from back board regardless or use or wear over time.
6 month warranty period for a 35.00 mouse pad.
Zero Razer Support with regards to the issue or fixes
Price

Other Thoughts: I bought this pad in May of 2012. I have used the control (rough side) surface EXCLUSIVELY and always with the cushioned grip pad in place underneath. November of 2013 i notice there seemed to be a raised portion on the bottom left of the pad i pressed it back down and it remained for a couple of days before reappearing. fast forward to now and the entire bottom corner is actively coming away from the backing and smoothing it down only works for maybe a minute or two. I am no pro gamer. with 3 kids I'm lucky to have time at all. So it's not a use issue. There are almost NO SIGNS of wear but the surface is coming up. This is happening also on the opposite side. Which i have NEVER used, but it is happening on the the top left and bottom right of that side. Put simply it seems the adhesive breaks down so that the surfaces come away from the backing simply with time. And I'm sure that time varies from person to person and usage. But the bottom line and implication seems to be that if you NEVER used this pad then it would still with in (my guess here) 2-3 years peel away from itself requiring you to replace it even thought its not worn out. This to me is unacceptable for a 35.00 mouse pad. It like it has a fail mechanism built in so that you HAVE to replace it regardless of its condition.
I of course contacted razer to see if they knew about the issue and a fix. like say heating the surface to get the adhesive to reactivate or well anything really. But since the warranty is out (again a whopping 6 months) it seems i have no options and they're not handing out ideas. So while i must admit it was great while it lasted. But like a strung out girlfriend, its going to come apart on you. AVOID IT!

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: Works great. The difference between this and a regular foam/cloth mousepad was huge to me. The Vespula in combination with a G9(x) gives the mouse almost a frictionless feel; I amused myself for a while by tapping the mouse very gently and watching it go sliding across the pad. Well made, I've had zero issues with it staying together or wearing down... not sure if some of the other reviewers got poorly made batches or if Razer switched manufacturers, but I've had mine for years now with no problem. Wristpad works great, and the mat it's attached to does a pretty good job of keeping the Vespula in place (unlike mousepads I've used before which I had to constantly readjust while gaming).

Cons: Seems to wear down the pads on the bottom of the G9, but I can't say for sure it's the Vespula- for all I know it would happen with other mouse pads too, I've never used any others. The residue from the G9's bottom pads leaves kind of a black gunk on the Vespula that interferes with tracking. Not a huge issue, just needs to be wiped off every week or two.

Other Thoughts: It's expensive but worth it in my opinion. I've had this for 4 years or so, and I've been spared the usual parade of short-lived foam mats that obnoxiously slide around the desk and don't have anywhere near the same feel as this pad anyways. There's a little bit of sticker shock with this pad at first, but knowing what I know now I'd probably be willing to spend even a little more.

5 out of 5 eggsBuying my second pad

Pros: I bought this pad over 3 years ago. I also use the Logitech G-500 gaming mouse with it. I've had no issues with the Vespula gaming pad. I've used both sides extensively. My computer is in use more than 72 hours a week.

Cons: The pad can work its way to the edge of the desk if you use a heavy hand.

Other Thoughts: After over 3 years of use, the matt that goes under the mouse pad has worn completely out. LOL.....still have no issues with the actually mouse pad, but hey its done its job.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works well while the coating lasts.

Cons: After a while the coating on the smooth side of this pad wears off, and significantly decreases it's usability. Also the razor logo on the wrist pad will rub off after a month or two of use.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Pads

Pros: Durable. Two pads in one. The accuracy side has a nice texture and the cursor doesn't jump. Wrist pad is a nice touch.

Cons: The wrist pad takes a couple weeks to soften. During that period it can be incredibly uncomfortable. If your hand get clammy (gamers everywhere) it will stick to both sides which can be a real pain. Using the speed side the cursor skips around a bit.

Other Thoughts: It will last a long time and it has two sides that in itself is a good deal. I haven't had any problems with the anti-slip grips or the pad sliding along the wrist cushion.

5 out of 5 eggsLove it

Pros: -Big
-Comfortable

Cons: -Smooth side is prone to scratches, but I always use rough so this didn't bother me too much

Other Thoughts: I really love this mouse pad for gaming (FPS, Strategy, MMOs). My first one lasted me well over a year. Maybe more but I can't remember. Ordered my second yesterday.
