The Razer Scarab gaming mouse mat is the much anticipated sequel to the Razer Destructor. To create a mouse mat that is on par with the performance capabilities of today’s gaming mice the engineers at Razer revisited the Razer Destructor to improve the Razer Fractal surface – the core of the Razer Destructor’s dominance. The result is the enhanced Razer Fractal 2.0 surface composition: The entire mouse mat is subdivided into very small areas, each of which displays self-similarity to its surrounding areas. This aids mice sensors to establish a highly responsive and uniform tracking. The Razer Scarab is fine-tuned to be an all-rounder, allowing you to make effortless swipes across the entire surface as well as precise movements to acquire your targets more accurately.

  • newegg Razer Fractal 2.0 Textured Surface for Greater Tracking Precision The Razer Scarab features Fractal 2.0, an advanced iteration of the Razer Fractal technology surface first seen on the Razer Destructor. Putting crystalline coating on the peaks of the grained surface to differentiate against the darker troughs, sensors can identify positions significantly faster and more accurate allowing the Razer Scarab to deliver superior tracking.
  • newegg Improved Rubber Base for Stability and Control The improved rubber base of the Razer Scarab helps to even out minimal irregularities in the surface underneath and ensures that the only thing moving over the mat are your surgically executed swipes of the mouse.
  • newegg Reinforced Carrying Case for Extra Protection To protect the Razer Scarab’s Fractal 2.0 surface, it comes in an extra sturdy carrying case for easy transport to your favorite gaming spots.

5 out of 5 eggsI love this mousepad

Pros: -Smooth surface
-Great grip on the bottom
-Huge surface area
-Neutral color

Cons: -Expensive

Other Thoughts: Well, when I bought this it was the only hard mousepad I could find. I was using a very nice soft mousepad, and after a few months my hand started breaking out in a terrible rash just on the areas that were in contact with the mousepad for hours a day.
So when I bought this, I was looking for something that I wouldn't be allergic to! I didn't want to get something that was going to be foam rubber.
What a strange requirement for a mousepad! Well, at the time this was the only one that met that requirement. The surface is a hard plastic, my mouse glides effortlessly across it and tracks very well. And best of all, I'm not allergic to it!

I do a lot of computer repair work, and I can actually comfotably fit two mice on this pad. My main one for my computer, and one for another person's computer. Or, I can clear it off and have a huge space to move my mouse over when gaming.

Well, looking at Razer's website today, they sell more hard pads than they do soft ones, so having a hard pad must offer some other advantages I wasn't even thinking about when I bought it.

One thing is certain, I'm not going back to a traditional mousepad. At work I have just a 1sq foot piece of leather, and that makes a great mousepad too. But not as good as this!

I would recommend one of Razer's hard pads over a soft one any day.

5 out of 5 eggsThe Best Case Ever

Pros: Lot's of space to work with, simple to setup and get everything going, easy to hide cables, plenty of stock cooling, LOVE how easy it is to install hard drives, Durable.

Cons: Feet seem cheap. Not that it's anything bad but the feet feel like they can break off at any point when they are extended out.

Other Thoughts: This case is without a doubt the easiest case I've ever worked with. I've used it for quite a few builds now and just love how everything fits. Both sides come off meaning when you install your power supply you can feed the cable through the other side and only feed the necessary power cables through the rubber circles. Creates less of a mess.

One of the best features this case has is the how easy it is to remove the hard drives. Each hard drive attaches quick slide. Meaning you pop the hard drive in then slide it in and it locks. Literally it takes 10 seconds to do.

I recommend this case to everyone. Whether you are new to building or an expert. This case makes everything easy.

4 out of 5 eggsReally awsome Mat, the case is a lil much though

Pros: Nice hard mouse mat with just the right ammount of glide and resistance in movement

Cons: A mouse mat case is a little over the top, unless your traveling with your gear I guess.

5 out of 5 eggsVery nice, very large

Pros: -Makes a smooth glide with my Razer Naga Epic mouse.
-Carrying case so I doesn't break (I carry my stuff around alot)
-Seems pretty durable, had it since October 2012 no problems yet.
-Razer logo
-Rubberized bottom sticks perfectly to surfaces, no movement in use.

Cons: -Could be a pro for some, but the size. It is roughly the same size as my 15" Laptop, I don't need all the space, but it hasn't caused many problems.
-Pretty expensive for a mousepad, but you get what you pay for

Other Thoughts: I would buy it again, it is very nice to use. I like how the carrying case is protective in making it harder to bend and break. If you have the spare money and need a mouse pad, this is the one I would recommend.

4 out of 5 eggsWorth the investment.

Pros: Consistent surface
Carrying case is included
Large for most applications
Visually appealing

Cons: Slightly rough texture
Would prefer it in black

Other Thoughts: It's a nice mouse mat. It definitely improves upon your mouse accuracy, and tracks very well with my Razer Mamba 2012. Despite its price, it really is worth the investment, particularly if you're a serious gamer. I don't plan on upgrading from this any time soon, unless an aluminum mouse mat that will hold up longer than a month is released.

5 out of 5 eggsDon't Know What You're Missing

Pros: Very nice glide to the surface, almost makes the mouse feel frictionless and it quite large. After heavy use, and quite frankly heavy abuse, the surface seems to feel just like it did on the first day. Also increased the sensitivity of my mouse, though I was also just using my desk and no mouse pad before, as I didn't think it really matter. I was clearly wrong.

Cons: Not any that I can think of. Will probably buy more of this mat in the future.

Other Thoughts: Incredibly well built to with stand the abuse the me and my family put it through. Very nice nigh frictionless surface is great, and overall just a great mouse pad. Easily recommend it.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: nothing good about this mat, are you serious.

Cons: this mat sucks, give to a homeless man

Other Thoughts: I've used great razer mousepads for more than eight years, but this one happens to be the worst mousepad in the world.

5 out of 5 eggsReally good pad

Pros: smooth
looks good on the desk (specially next to a razer mouse/keyboard combo)
cleans really easy (damp cloth, a tiny bit of soap for bad stains)
hard and slim surface, you almost don't feel it under your hand
awesome carrying case

Cons: somewhat big, this is the first pad i had in this size and it's a monster

Other Thoughts: If you need a hard, durable, slim replacement for your mouse pad, you should get this one; even if you're not a gamer.
The price is ok for the quality you are getting.

5 out of 5 eggsRazer's SCARAB

Pros: +Low Friction Surface*
+Large, but not excessive design
+Minimal logo/uniform color and texture
+Rubber bottom
+Protective Case

Cons: -EDGES! See below

Other Thoughts: I bought this as a introduction to hard mats, and managed to snag it at around 31$ at another store.

The pad comes packed in its own case that protects the pad. This is because it utilizes the "Fractal 2.0" tech. People dont realize, this is a fragile setup, but offers supreme tracking.

That said I wouldnt buy this as a every day pad because wear, even minute, will hinder this pad.

The texture and color is uniform minus the small razer 3 snake logo on the top right corner. Its large, but not excessively, so it should fit in most places. Its also fairly stiff. the rubber on the bottom holds the desk very well. People claim that this had a "bump" in the middle, mines perfectly flat. Maybe theirs was damaged during shipping?

One con is the EDGES! Theyre sharp. I'm going ot round mine, but a wrist rest is a must unless you sit above your desktop. (I'm actually a bit lower than my desktop.)

Great pad, ok price atm, but worth the money.

4 out of 5 eggsNot to Shabby

Pros: Fantastic! I'm a heavy gamer and graphic designer. So I spend anywhere from 8-12 hours a day on the computer. I have had this thing for over 2 months now and it looks like it did the day I bought it. It's super smooth and makes very mouse I owe that much better.

Cons: The price. I still to this day, no matter how awesome it is, can't believe I spent $40 on a mouse pad. I would have gave 5 eggs for it with this price if it made me a cup of coffee or something along with its amazing durability.

Other Thoughts: A piece of hard plastic with a thick rubber bottom couldn't cost more then $3 to make! So for a $40 sale price, the designer better be sitting in an infinity pool somewhere in the tropics laughing his 'youknowwhat' off right now.
