5 out of 5 eggsExceptionally Versatile Mouse Mat.

Pros: There is plenty of "Tech" under that Matte Black "Skin" !Carefully thought-out design. The smooth, yet firm upper surface texture is the perfect combination for any optical mouse. The thin design is complimented with a semi dense layer of non-slip material on the tread side. Plenty of Real Estate to suit: Graphics Designers, Video Editors and Gamers alike !

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: There are many reviewers here at Newegg who state that this Mat is "overpriced" They say "No, I don't need a fancy bag or any stickers/badges and it you omit these; you could dramatically cut the price on this Great Mat". That may be a good argument if you were looking at/for a lesser product, but, the Destructor 2 is quite frankly, worth every cent. Also, that "fancy bag" is a must have when you go to LAN parties and NEED TO PROTECT YOUR INVESTMENT.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesomeness

Pros: Disclaimer: I just got it, just laid it down, just played 5 minutes, just fell in love with my "old" gaming mouse. This thing is legit, it's huge, its as advertised, and it makes my old mouse feel like its riding on a svelte layer of sweet butter. I'm on my second Logitech MX518, this one I can't even remember how long I've had it, but I've never felt it like this before. My old pad is an Allsop gaming pad but I'll be honest I can't remember when I bought it and it honestly was probably due for replacement years ago, but it wasn't cheap either. My MX518 has three dpi settings and with this pad the high setting is now just almost too high, with the middle setting just about being right, I'll have to go into the settings and fiddle a little bit, which I've never had to do until now but I'll have to give it a go. Before the high setting is what I mainly used for everything and only recently have I started to experiment with the middle setting for sniping use, now everything feels just about right, and I feel I can actually get to exactly where I want it to be. I'm still gunning for the Logitech G502 Proteus, but I am honestly amazed at how this mouse pad makes my old mouse perform and feel.

Cons: Honestly, the biggest con is on me, this is my first new gaming mouse pad in quite frankly a decade. I'm sure other hard surface mouse pads are probably comparable, but since I have a Razer Blackwidow Ultimate plank, I know the company makes a good product. Maybe excessive on the packaging and the bells and whistles though but, who "really" needs a carrying case for a mouse pad?

Had to add this bit. As great as it so far seems I have no hopes of it REALLY helping my PVP performance, HOWEVER I'm sure results may vary. (That's an LOL moment btw)

Other Thoughts: It's big, I have a sliding shelf for my keyboard and mouse and about 2 1/2 inches of my keyboard HAVE to cover the pad. My shelf is pretty much 29 7/8 inches wide, but it fills all of the extra space and I will never find the edge of a pad again.
Another thought I like is that it is no frills black, no funky patterns, nothing trying to be artsy, its all function and performance, and I like that. I'd recommend it to anyone, especially if you have an old mouse you love, but want to be just a little bit better in your games. I'll still get a Proteus, but that purchase just got pushed off because this pad is making my old mouse shine again already.

5 out of 5 eggsBig, smooth surface!

Pros: Large, durable surface. Doesn't eat through feet on mice as quick as some other pads have in the past. Never have to worry about running out of mouse surface!

Cons: LARGE! Surprised me by its size.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: It's a hard mat. Easy to clean, long lasting and less friction. Great tracking with my Logitech G500s. Grip is very good. I bought this and my mouse pad needs have been solved for quite a long time where a soft mat would only last a month or two and start getting nasty.

Cons: I guess it's expensive but when you spent 40 bucks on soft mats by the time you get this makes me wish I had gotten this first...

Other Thoughts: Works great with Logitech apparently.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Love it! Using this is like using an air hockey paddle after you put a couple quarters in the table. Makes my Razor Naga mouse glide with little resistance and so far have had no tracking issues.

Cons: Retail Price point of $40 is somewhat steep! Bought this with a gift card, I don't know if I would have spent my own money on it. Carrying case absolutely not needed and will probably be tossed into the trash.

Other Thoughts: What people don't realize is that the flashy packaging (like all razor products), free stickers and carrying case, all drive up the cost of this item, which I am sure is their goal in giving you all those unneeded extras. They should make an OEM (lol?) version of this mouse mat or do away with all the extras in the regular version and make a special edition with all those extras for the 1% of people that are taking their mats on the road and want a carry case.. If they could get this to retail sub $30, I am sure they would sell way more.
