Other Thoughts: When searching for mouse pads made by Razer as well as other companies you need to look at the "Speed" vs "Control" descriptions. The weave on the Control mouse pad is more of a mesh than a silky smooth surface, some people love it, others don't. I fall into the latter category. The Speed mouse pad might be the right one for you if you're like me, but I haven't actually tested that one yet.

Other Thoughts: This mouse mat is great for those games where you might use lowered sensitivity mouse settings (and some games where SHOULD be). With lower sensitivities, it requires you to move your hand/arm much further, but also provides you more precision and control; this mat provides you with a large coverage area, so you don't run out of trackable space. It also seems more resistant to friction wear areas, similar to what I had with the Razer Vespula. Those wear spots made the mouse lose tracking... The Golaithus is also a great upgrade from the common-use mouse pads that are about the size of your hand. There just is not enough space to move your hand for gaming, without jacking your mouse sensitivities through the roof, which "can" degrade precision.

I love this mouse mat, and recommend it to anyone in the market for a mouse mat that will complement their improving gaming style, espcially First-Person Shooters. It will not make you a better player, but will provide you with a tool to adjust your style in other areas that could lead

All that being said, this is the first and only large soft gaming mat I have used, so there may be other options out there. However, I have had nothing but a great experience with this mat, which I can't say for my previous Razer Vespula.

Pros: Huge surface area, and great quality. The surface is also no too squishy and uncomfortable like most pads.

Cons: I suppose a tiny pricey because brand name but, actually worth it in my opinion.

Pros: Hands down the best Control style surface for me personally. Still affords plenty of speed but the added accuracy over so called "speed" pads in my opinion far out weights an loss in speed. Aside that you can always increase DPI or Mouse Sens.

I have the large for my gaming rig and the small for my HTPC and love them both.

Cons: Non Washable at least from past experience......
If it gets wet it game over. :(

Other Thoughts: I also have cats once the weave has been pulled up like clothing material it is up. Be warned if you have pets.

Pros: great control good mat for gaming

Cons: little particles get stuck in it and its hard to get out gets dirty fast and damages easily on the surface

Other Thoughts: a good mouse mat for now im going to try the speed adition as i think i might like the surface bettter this mouse pad is still great tho.

Pros: Cheaper than Corsair top of line. I thnk will last foir a while, threaded along sides.
