This Lite-On 20x LH-20A1H drive writes 4.7GB of data in about 5.5 minutes to DVD+R, and supports all DVD formats. Intelligent features such as a 2 MB buffer, Smart Burn buffer under-run protection, and Smart Write dynamic calibration of write speed work together to ensure that you get accurate, working copies every time, instead of wasting disc blanks on failed write attempts. Lightscribe? Hah!
- Pros: Its a dvd burner with the ability to do Lightscribe. What else could you expect? 20x is a good speed, Havn't tested the 20x yet but I am sure it won't let me down.
- Cons: Nothing exept its a OEM. No manuels or nero software or anything. just the drive taped in bubble wrap. When you get it, Make sure you switch the jumper or else its set at Slave.
- Other Thoughts: I gave it a 4 becuase its a good regular drive. Theres nothing special that makes you go " OOh that drive is special".
Phenominal drive; feature packed
- Pros: Burns DVD at advertised speeds.
Very quiet drive.
Lightscribe works great.
Burning CDR is very very fast.
- Cons: None. Buy this drive NOW!
- Other Thoughts: I read several reviews that the drive was noisy. Thoes are probably novice users that are putting cheap unbalanced media in the drive. If you dont buy your media from the bargain bin you will get well balanced media and a quiet drive. This matters since the drive burns so quickly. Poor media will also slow burning speed because of 'wobble'. This goes for every burner. The reason the users did not notice the same thing in their older burner/rom is becuase it is a slower drive than this one.

Not a Bad Burner
- Pros: Fast burner, does what it's supposed to do.
- Cons: Don't expect any bonus software or box with this drive, all that shows up is the drive. But hey, that's clearly laid out.
- Pros: Performs as expected, but I primarily use it to watch dvd's, not for burning.
- Cons: The Nero software that was bundled with the drive, was not Vista compatible.
- Other Thoughts: Many reviewers comment on the noise of this drive, but I have not had that problem, at least not with playing dvd's. There is more noise when burning a disc, however.
