Pre-opened package
- Pros: Cheap, fast shipping
- Cons: Package had been previously opened. New sticker carefully placed over old broken seal.
Upon installation: problems reading disks, long access times, atypical of a normal lite-on cd-rom.
- Other Thoughts: Upset that this retail item was pre-opened.
- Pros: Comes with both white and black faceplates. Seems to work well. As of now it's retail provided.
- Cons: Seems a tiny bit loud but nothing really.
- Other Thoughts: Comes with Nero 7 essentials software.

Works like a champ!
- Pros: Easy install reads and burns great.
- Cons: none
- Other Thoughts: having two covers makes matching to any case possible.
- Pros: Does exactly what they say it will do.
- Cons: I've had this product for about 3 months now and so far it hasn't died in a blaze of smoke so I'm happy with it.
- Other Thoughts: This isn't a top of the line drive, but if you want one of those you have to go pay top of the line prices. But the drive does what it says, without problems.
Lifespan for a year
- Pros: It was a great burner at first. Fast burn times, and one of the few sata3.0 at the time.
- Cons: I've had it for just under a year and it started to error out on about every other disc.
- Other Thoughts: I have a Sony Optiarc in my other pc and it's been a great burner. Drives are so cheap now that i just replaced the Lite-on with another Optiarc. Haven't had an error since I swapped them. My advide, go with the Optiarc.
