Cons: Randomly doesn't read CDs properly. Even when it does, it is horrendously slow, all while making all the noise in the world.

Other Thoughts: I find this is typical of Lite-On products. Shoddy, cheap quality, poor performance and short life. I've never had a Lite-On that outlasted a year, but I was in need of a CD drive and this was the cheapest. You get what you pay for; pay the price for junk, expect to get junk. Pay a couple more dollars and buy a REAL brand, like LG. I bought a Lite-On CD burner in early 2005 and the tray stopped working properly at around 10 months, not to mention constantly burning erroneous CDs. Two months later, the drive stopped working altogether. I then bought an LG burner in late 2005, and I still own it. Has yet to burn one single bad CD. Don't blow your money on ANY Lite-On garbage!

Pros: not dead

Cons: I bought this exclusively to read CD+G which it does horendously. Even at 1x read speed with software subcode error correction the graphics are completely corrupt. Not even heavy enough to make a decent paperweight. Made in China of course.

Pros: Cheap and does what it needs to do.

Cons: Pretty loud when it loads a CD.
