Can't go Wrong with Lite-On

Pros: I've used Lite-On products for years, without failure. I have come to expect dependable, quality products. This one has not disappointed. I presently own 4 of these drives. They fit well in my Antec cases. No issues with with installation or use. Recognizes discs quickly.

Cons: Lite-On drives known to noisy at high speeds, which is the case here. In all fairness, I have never seen a drive that I would consider quiet at high speeds, so I cannot penalize this drive for this issue.

Other Thoughts: I always run dual drive configurations and purchase drives in matched pairs. I find it makes for a more professional appearance. Mates well with my Lite-On DVD/RW drives. I've never had a drive failure.

A good basic DVD drive

Pros: Reads all DVD and CD media that I've fed it. Includes several different brands of both types, along with game and other app installations. SATA interface.

Cons: Can't think of any. Doesn't even get loud now that I think of it.

Other Thoughts: Can't beat the price! I really like Lite-On products. They always seem solid and do the job well.

Pros: Cool optical drive. This thing is cheaper than a full tank of gas. Reads everything I threw at it so far. Purchased this drive to help save my CD/DVD RW drive from burn out. Worth the $$ invested.

Cons: There is a slightly longer delay when reading cd's. Longer than my other drive I have. 5 secs. to read cd versus 3 secs on my other lite-on DVD rw drive. But that's just splitting hairs.

Other Thoughts: Would buy more, but I don't have the need for more than two optical drives on my computer.
