Pros: Works. BluRay playback is very good.

Cons: The included software is two full versions out of date and a limited "upgrade me for that feature" edition in the first place.

Other Thoughts: Evaluate this as if it were an OEM drive - you'll need to budget money for decent playback software (unless you already have it.) Good price point, although it is an older model. As drives with BluRay write capability are less than twice the price of this one, would probably not buy another one.

Pros: *Comes with installation hardware (SATA cable, mount screws)
*Essentially plug-n-play on XP SP3
*No stutters, drops, weirdness in video
*Quiet
*Blu Ray media looks great

Cons: *You need PowerDVD8 Ultra for full functionality

Other Thoughts: I had already been using Ultra edition for DVDs; Ultra has excellent sound. Didn't need to install any drivers manually. Total installation time 10 minutes. Takes about 10 seconds to access. Shows up as a CD drive in XP desktop (lol).

Cons: I bought two of these for two different systems. They both failed just out of warranty, 14-16 months, with light usage. I'll never by a Lite-on product again.

Pros: Inexpensive drive that performs as advertised.

Cons: Plastic drawer extends to the very edges of the top and side of the drive. As a result, my Dell Dimension E510's front bezel prevented the drawer from opening. Both the drive's drawer trim and the computer's bezel had to be cut to allow the drive to open.

Pros: Cheap blueray player, playback is clear, clean. easy to install.

Cons: The front bezel is NOT compatable with cases that hide the front such as the silverstone HTPC cases. Caused a lot of greef to get working.

Software that comes with it is a joke. Go and grab something nicer

Cons: Does NOT work with included software. Have tried the patch and it still does NOT work. Needs software other than PowerDVD 7.3 (which is included).

Pros: I have started using the product a week ago. The 20-30 seconds load time you see from other reviews is due to user error, too many applications installed & running or not enough technical knowledge. It takes 5-10 seconds to load the movie if your vista theme is set to anything besides Basic due to software limitations.

If you change Vista theme to basic it will take you no longer then 5 seconds to load a movie which is more then acceptable. I doubt you will find a player that will do it any faster.

It does play movies just fine. There is really no problem with this unit.

Cons: 2 channel sound limitation on the software.

Pros: easy to install... came with screws, sata wire, bd software, and manual... took 5 min to install and it works great!

Cons: took about 20-30 sec to load bd disk... 2 channel audio unless upgrade (i got a 2.1 surround for my pc anyway)
