Pros: Good drive - TERRIBLE included software!!!!!!

Cons: This drive came with Nero Software, version 10. I have been a long time user of Nero 6 so felt confident that the drive and the software would be a perfect combination.. WRONG!! WRONG!! WRONG!! After wasting three days and getting at most 50% good BD disks from three Disk Suppliers (Verbatim, Ridata, and Optical Quantum) I applied for an RMA from Newegg for what I thought was a faulty drive. Being in a hurry to make a number of Blu-Ray disks on a hunch, today I tried TMPGEnc’s Authoring Works 5 software (which has a disk burning tool) and have now burned 18 straight disks from all three suppliers without a single failure. With decent software the drive works well. My recommendation is to throw away the Nero Software that’s shipped with the disk and use something worthwhile. I’m still mad at the time I wasted!!!!!!

Pros: Nice packaging, came with Nero and a SATA cable, plays CDs & DVDs wonderfully.

Cons: It detects the Blu-ray disc, will play CDs and DVDs, but it will not play a Blu-ray disc at all. I have tried multiple different brand new (just opened) Blu-ray movies, and multiple different players (including VLC). Nothing works. I checked the firmware version, I am running the latest version, and there is nothing much more to run with on the Lite-On web site. Worse of all, and this is the kicker, I contacted support in two separate ways, and have heard nothing in over a week! This is unacceptable service, and I hope no one else falls into this oblivious mistake.

Other Thoughts: I almost went with ASUS and am now slamming my head on my desk because I didn’t! It would have been a less expensive product, and I am positive it would have worked out of box. Since I work in the technology field, I would like Lite-On to know that, they did not just loose one customer today, but many.

Pros: Good burner, no coasters. Didnt use included drivers, but no problems on install. Only took 10 mins. Windows 7 likes the drive.

Cons: Kinda of loud when burning blurays. Seems to be common thing in bluray burners.

Other Thoughts: Wish they were cheaper, maybe more time needs to pass.

Pros: Works well. Use it with blu rays nearly everyday without issue.

Pros: So far so good after a week of having this thing up and running. I use it for my OS and steam games. Music and other data are on my other hard drive. Boot up time is faster than the previous SSD I had which was a Crucial M4. This is the SSD your looking for my friends. No complaints here.

Cons: No cons except maybe the price but if you have the money then go for it.

Pros: Has worked great so far. Burned two blue ray discs and no coasters.

Cons: Nothing worth mentioning.

Other Thoughts: Used it to boot the Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit SP1 installation disc.

Pros: Works as advertised.

Cons: The bundled software is garbage. The disc is probably better used as a coaster so you dont get condensation rings on your desk.

Other Thoughts: Buy some better retail software for it and you will be pleased.

Cons: It can be pretty loud at times. I wish someone would make one of these with a really low noise profile.
