Pros: When the drive worked, it worked well.

Cons: The drive died just after 9 months. I only used the drive maybe twice before discovering that it ceased operating.

Other Thoughts: I'm in the process of trying to get LiteOn to service the drive, but my initial email correspondence resulted in them telling me to return the drive to NewEgg, but obviously that's not going to work since it's beyond 30 days. Still waiting for them to reply with a means to send to LiteOn Service. The drive has a one (1) year warranty.

-as long as you install the software, it supports 3D play back. I only found out that it supported 3D AFTER I recived them.

Bought two of these For my Rig. I have yet to test out the lightscribe.

Cons: They are loud the first time you use them, but it quiets to an almost silent whirr on every use afterwords.

Pros: Plays dvds.
I expect it will play bluray if I buy new software for it.

Cons: Does not play bluray out of the box. The software it comes with is the outdated PowerDVD 10.

Other Thoughts: Bought this one because I thought it came with everything needed to play blurays. Wish I had purchased a cheaper drive.
Deciding whether to upgrade to PowerDVD 12 or Purchase Corel WinDVD.

Pros: Been flawless since day one, would recommend.

Pros: Easy to install, physically works, not too loud

Cons: Software doesn't work with Windows 8, PowerDVD12 is only version which does. If you purchase PowerDVD12 you'll need to spend $98 to get Blu-Ray playback, so this player actually costs $177.99 if you own Windows 8.

Pros: These are very nice drives. Have had a 3 now with no problems. Quite operation. Would buy another. Too bad this one died on startup

Cons: Software is more like adware. These companies would do better not to use a program as an annoying marketing tool. Unfortunaetly this drive rrived pretty much DOA. A piece of cushion not secured properly in manufacturing appaently fell down and hit the drive belt in the first 15 seconds and after a loud squeal thats all she wrote

Pros: Compact drive depth

Cons: Windows Media Center and WMP on Win7 won't play some DVDs on this drive.

Other Thoughts: Win7 MCE and WMP won't play a pristine Princess Bride DVD. I get an MCE error. And paging errors (event 51) in the system event log. Playing the same disk on the same machine with the same software using a Plextor DVD-RW drive works fine. Tried upgrading the firmware and no change.

Pros: The drive is great! Watched all three of the bonus discs from the Star Wars saga box set (I'll watch the movies soon!). Absolutely nothing wrong with the drive.

Cons: The software it comes with is PowerDVD 10 among other things from Cyberlink, but the latest software from Cyberlink is PowerDVD 12. I bought this product because it came with "software" required to watch blu ray discs. It's a shame it's an old version. On the bright side, you get a discount for upgrading to the latest version ($50 or so to upgrade). The old software works, at least.

Other Thoughts: I wish the product page went more in depth on what software it came with.

Pros: Purchased so that my wife could watch blu-ray videos on her computer. Works well and seems to be very quiet.

Cons: None
