Pros: Cheap, easy to install, worked well for about 2 months of LIGHT use.

Cons: Cheap, you get what you pay for. The drive itself felt flimsy. When it ran, it was LOUD and i have several loud fans on my rig. I guess i wouldnt be so mad about it breaking had it not broke while installing windows 7 onto my new rig.

Pros: It does what it's supposed to do...sometimes

Cons: I own many Sony products, all which please me. Except, this drive. It has problems reading certain discs. Ex: I loaded a brand new copy of adb's master collection cs5.5 into disc tray, couldn't get a read.

Other Thoughts: For the price range, I really regret not purchasing a drive that actually burns dvds

Pros: Loaded my OS using this. It is super cheap. If you don't need to burn disks, this is the way to go.

Cons: It is a littlle louder than the rest of my system, but my ear drums aren't made of glass, so I'm not taking an egg for that.

Pros: It reads DVDs without issue.
It cost very little of my hard-earned cash.

Cons: There are none.

Other Thoughts: What can I say? Plugged it in. Worked. What more could you ask of a $20 DVD drive?

Pros: Cost.

Cons: It arrived DOA, I believe. It is constantly flashing its light and doesn't read the disc. It was having troubles reading whenever it actually could, causing my computer to lock up multiple times.

Other Thoughts: Sounded good online, bleh in real life.
