5 out of 5 eggsReliable tool

Pros: Easy installation. Compatible with every PC I have used it on. Reasonably fast.

Cons: Doesn't do BluRay but not a biggie for me.

Other Thoughts: With most new laptops coming without optical drives, I keep this in my toolkit so I always have a way to boot to a CD/DVD.
Also great for burning ISOs when the computer I am working on only has a reader.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great

Pros: - Works great, burns/reads disks fine
- Has a dual plug USB cable (one to draw additional power) but I haven't needed to use it on any machines yet
- Very cheap when on sale

Cons: - Not really a con if the price is low enough, but my other Samsung external DVD drive only needs one USB plug (low power) and is slimmer and better built. But cost is no really comparable.

Other Thoughts: Been working great for over a year now. Haven't came across a disk it can't read while other drives can and the disks it burnt can be read on other drives just fine.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Improvement Over Laptop Burner

Pros: Delighted with the purchase. I had a poor success rate burning double layer DVDs on 2 laptops. After reading advice in the reviews of discs I bought the Memorex device and have not had a failure in over 50 discs. I agree with many reviewers that the key is a good burning device and a slow burn speed. I use K3b software in LinuxMint on a very old Dell laptop.

Cons: None so far.

5 out of 5 eggsquick drive, happy with purchase

Pros: I got this on sale for $15. Hooked it up to my iMac and it rips DVDs quickly. I am very pleased with it so far.

Cons: I wish it didn't use two USB slots, but it's not a huge deal.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks as needed

Pros: Works as needed and as expected. Only 1 usb port needed if used on a USB 3 port

Cons: Nothing really. If I had to give one, it feels a little cheap, like plastic and not metal

Other Thoughts: Good to go

5 out of 5 eggsGood Drive, Great Price

Pros: Worked great right out of the box. Slim, light, extremely portable. Easy to set up. Comes with proper cables. Can't ask for more.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Comes with Nero 2014 Essentials burning software which I plan to install on my laptop to enable DVD burning on it as well.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat little device

Pros: Slim, usb powered, bootable.

Cons: sale didnt last very long should have bought more than one

Other Thoughts: if this thing drops back to 16.99 or so that it was on sale for i'd definitely buy them. the biggest failure i keep getting with my PC is the optical drives stop functioning i've purchased 4 dvdrw drives and they all stop being able to read. cleaning the lens does not seem to get the job done. This tiny little usb drive is portable and well sealed so i can use it however much i need then unplug and put away for strage so nothing happens to it.
