Pros: Quiet burner that is fast.
I bought one and was impressed so I decided to pair one with my sata model, a pioneer also.
Pioneer rocks

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Dvd and cd burners are cheap compared to a few years ago, price wise.
I have always had good luck with pioneer.

Pros: Good IDE drive for and older P4 2.4 system.
Slapped it in, hooked it up, started burning. No worries.

Cons: None
