Excellent Product --- Excellent Company
- Pros: Does exactly what it is supposed to do. It is a CD/DVD reader/player only. I have purchased multiple Asus optical drives, including those that only READ discs. This one performs well.

- Other Thoughts: Some people simply should not purchase computer parts to perform their own upgrades as they do not understand the most basic attributes of the products that they are attempting to upgrade/add/repair. For heaven's sake, this is a reader only and it is clearly advertised as such. Just how moronic do you have to be to give a product 1 star because YOU cannot read?

THIS IS SOLD AS A RETAIL BOX. EVERY RETAIL CD/DVD DRIVE I HAVE EVER BOUGHT COMES WITH SOFTWARE AND CABLES. HENCE, THIS IS NOT RETAIL BUT OEM.
