Pros: Nice fast drawer. I have an LG and it takes at least 1.5 times as long to open or close than this one.

Cons: None. well, it's not lightscribe - not really a con (a pro for me - less stuff to break)

Other Thoughts: I am an Asus fan boy, and this purchase just reinforces that.

Worked for only 2 weeks

Pros: + great price for a retail box w/ Nero disc

Cons: - after 2 weeks it now freezes XP during bootup if there's a disc in it, making weird grinding noises. Remove the disc and boot up continues normally.
- when you start the PC the drive makes a 1 second grinding noises which sounds bad. Don't know if this is normal or just my unit.

Other Thoughts: I guess there's a reason it's so cheap for a retail box.
