Pros: Reads and writes at reasonable speeds

Seems sturdy, 1 year of use and it looks and works the same

Cons: Sounds like a printer trying to scream when running, not advertised as silent so i cant really remove an egg

Other Thoughts: Solid disk drive, but its seriously loud

Pros: Works well and is fast

Cons: Very loud humming noise at speed

Other Thoughts: Inexpensive and works great, but this unit makes a very loud humming noise when spinning at full speed. In my ownership of over 20 CD/DVD players and burners, this is the worst regarding noise.

Pros: Fast shipping. Drive works like a champ. Was recommended on several forums as a good drive for audio extraction using Exact Audio Copy. Very low price.

Cons: There was a small dent on the side of the chassis, however this did not prevent mounting the drive in the case, nor did it appear to have an impact (ha!) on the drive's performance. Ding is not visible once the drive is installed.

Pros: Dump it in then plug and play. Simple easy to install CD driver. It's not fancy, but it does work. If you're looking to buying something more beefy, you need to realize that physical medium is going extinct.

Cons: Did not come with mounting screws.

Other Thoughts: Would recommend for sure.
