Pros: I've had the drive for over 2 years with no problems. Easy to install and plays movies perfectly.

Cons: None

Pros: Nice looking faceplate. Easy to install the 1st time.

Cons: After about 1 year the player completely disappeared from my system. Worked great during that first year but then ...nothing. Not in Device Manager or anywhere else in the system despite the fact it's still getting power and opens as well as closes. Can't re-install Firmware since the computer no longer recognizes it :(.

Other Thoughts: It wasn't cheap when I bought it and I got 1 year out of it, not worth what I paid and won't be replacing it with Asus again.

Pros: Cheap and works perfectly. I've owned it for over a year and no problems so far

Cons: none

Pros: Plays Blu-Ray movies perfectly. I set up an HTPC with this Blu-Ray Player and it has worked every time. It has only been used 1/2 dozen times, so I can't speak to longevity.

Cons: Doesn't come with software, but I already had my own software.

Other Thoughts: Asus makes great dvd drives.

Pros: Worked good for 3 months

Cons: Started getting atapui errors constantly causing Windows 7 to shut down and lock up. Went to Asus for technical support which was very poor. I have to end up paying the shipping back on their dumb drive!

Pros: Was shipped in 2 days. Reads every disc I ordered online. The BR disc I get from Netflix are pretty old, but the drive reads it very well. Very quiet too.

Cons: None

Pros: It turned on

Cons: no program to run BR.

Other Thoughts: thought i was getting a blueray palyer. but this dont even come with anything to run a br disk. and windows dosnt help.

Pros: Works great, have had no issues so far with reading disks.

Cons: Some times reads horribly slow, but I think this is a software issue, after a reboot it is snappy again. Not going to knock the drive for that.

Other Thoughts: Great drive for $35 on a deal from Newegg. As always the shipping was fast!

Pros: It's a nice, quiet drive, and it was cheap

Cons: Quite long as others have mentioned. Using AnyDVDHD to rip BluRays, it appears to be riplocked to 1x speed. Fortunately, I only have a couple Blu-Ray discs. Also quite a bit slower than my Samsung 223C at ripping regular DVDs.

Pros: I managed to make it work.

Cons: Little brother tears. And far be it from me to want to RMA the thing on Christmas day. So I tore the labels off the top to fix it, most assuredly voiding the warranty.

The little plastic piece on top of the drive was not glued on securely enough and another round plastic mechanism that holds a disc in place underneath that plastic cover was dislodged. So Iput it back in place and the drive worked.

Other Thoughts: Make 100% sure you don't need Bluray player software. You can't just install a codec pack and expect the thing to work. Right now my brother is using trial software until I can find a decent price on some player software.
