Pros: It Is what you buy, A Drive to put the Disc in.

Other Thoughts: Do not Expect this to have the Blu Ray Playback Software in it Nor SATA cable, IT's an OEM and it is as described in the name and it works just fine.

Pros: Not One

Cons: The drive only worked when i installed the operating system, ASUS told me to install drives but the only drives are for win8. I like ASUS but this drive has given me handaches. I am returning it this week.

Pros: ASUS never fails, works great, pretty quiet and easy to install.

Cons: None

Pros: -Drive runs like a champ.
-Blu Ray also runs top notch with WinDVD 11
-Burns MP3, ISO's, and other DVDs extremely well

Other Thoughts: People talk about issues with this drive, and I honestly do not understand. its OEM sure, however that doesnt make this drive bad in any sense. It WORKS.

Pros: I've had really good standing with Asus products in the pass and they really do a good job of making good hardware.

Cons: Can be a little loud when running at high speed. Other than that. Nothing.

Pros: There are pros? Bought it to read discs, which it can't.

Cons: It's slow, noisy and doesn't ready many BluRay discs. Keep getting AACS error or drive simply wont read the disc. Use Bluray player on my Lenovo notebook and it reads no problem with OS and software app.

Pros: -Fast
-Not Overly Loud (all fast optical Drives are loud)

Cons: -None

Other Thoughts: There isn't much to say really. It simply works as advertised. Ignore the ignorant reviewers who complain that they had to purchase additional software in order to "use it."

Pros: Easy to install.. of course. Works as intended and stays silent.

Cons: Nothing serious but the black is.. off black (bluish) it doesnt match other CD drive black standard and stands out a little oddly (vs a black case as well)

Pros: Works great until it fails

Cons: I had two of these in a row. Both failed in under a year. Time to try a different brand.
