I have one and it does what I want. No problems yet. Cons: Where is my software? All the others came with Nero. This one did not. I believe this is a packing issue and not a product issue. I have a bunch of TDK and Verbatim DVD+R media. It works fine with the TDK, but with the Verbatim, it struggles to read at 0.25x the very disc it just wrote. Did you find this review helpful? Cons: 1) loud, I have 7 Case Fans, 2 hard drives, And 3 disk drives and this thing is louder than all of them combined. 2) I have tryed to burn 3 movies and wound up with 3 costers. Price was right and shipping was great. Cons: None yet and hope it stays that way. Other Thoughts: This is my second LG DVD burner and my first is still going strong after two years "also a newegg buy". I wanted to try the lightscribe and its a nice alternative that the marker. Picture quality has been great when watching the burned DVD's on tv. Also lightscribe has worked great. Cant forget the cheap price!! Cons: none so far Other Thoughts: I had to return a Asus being defective and I'm so glad I decided to go with this unit. I have yet to burn any coasters and i have used from cheap to very expensive on the blank media. I know some others mentioned about Dvd's not working in unit but I have yet to have that problem.
