Burned a DL DVD on a very old system with no problems. Cons: When I installed it read as a DVD RAM drive in explorer, but shows properly as a burner in properties. Other Thoughts: Installed on a friend's older system, a P3-850. P3B-F as the only drive on the primary channel and a second burner on the secondary (UDMA/33). XP Pro, 320 MB RAM. Cons: Inconsistent burns, which makes the writer worthless. Other Thoughts: I've burned roughly 50 CDs in this at 16X. Many of the resulting CDs skip in multiple players. I've checked the source files on the computer, they play fine. I burned thousands of discs through the stock writer that came in my computer with not a bad one in the bunch.
