Pros: Made by LG, known by many to be a producer of quality products.
CAV - Constant Angular Velocity
Because of this the CD/DVD won't change speeds depending on whether its reading on the inside or outside. When you install software you may have noticed that the disk would spin faster, then slower, and again and again, but with CAV you don't get that. I myself don't really care, but if you do a lot of installing then you might get tired of it.

Cons: CAV - Constant Angular Velocity
The drive spins the CD/DVD at a constant rate no matter if it is reading from the inside or outside. This has the effect of giving slower read speeds on the inside of the disk.

Other Thoughts: Don't own this item. Just giving a heads up on the specs.
