Pros: Cheap

Cons: This drive is slow. When you place a dvd into the drive, it doesn't read it right away. You hear the drive go silent and then after about 10 secs, it starts reading it. Then another 10 secs it finally pulls up the content.

It's also super noisey when accepting and ejecting disk. It sounds as if it will damaged the disc.

Other Thoughts: What upsets me is this drive requires a mini sata power/ data cable which isn't provided or noted anywhere. So I had to purchase one from new egg. The didn't get the shipment in time and had to open a claim and order another. By then I was over my expiration data for exchanging or returning the product. Bad business.

Pros: Size fits in my HTPC.

Cons: Intermittently works doesn't accept discs or at least it let me do so only once or twice.

Other Thoughts: I only got this to avoid spending the time downloading an OS to a USB stick (so much for that idea). I would've returned it but that means spending more of my time and money on shipping. I'll see if I can find used replacement somewhere else.
