Works Great
- Pros: Dependable, Runs on my Vista machine in DMA mode 4, Lightscibe works very well. I use them daily to rip and burn video.
- Cons: Not A Con - just a note - Get your lightscribe Host software from www.lightscribe.com they also have a utility program that will save you a lot of lightscribe headaches.
- Other Thoughts: I have two of these and they run pretty quiet and they're fast. I have used different media types Verbatim, TDK, GQ, HP and no bad burns.
quick burning for a good price`
- Pros: this is only 5x faster then the other one of these i have . but basicly the same drive... good device to have for backing up..
- Cons: none
- Other Thoughts: lightscribe takes a while when you use pictures, but with text only its not so bad, beats tring to hunt down that marker, or if your like me , have bad handwriting

- Pros: Price. Works great when Winders can see it.
- Cons: Drivers stink. Conflict with iTunes, causes the drive to disappear until you reinstall the drivers. Then iTunes is unhappy. Maybe this has been remedied by now, gotta check HP's site to make sure.
awesome
- Pros: evertyhing works great. comes with software.
- Cons: none.
- Other Thoughts: will buy again.
i like it :)
- Pros: it's pretty much what you should expect nowadays. i didn't really think lightscribe would be a success back then but i'm glad that hp stuck with it.
hp is a good brand all around.
- Cons: noise i guess. and lightscribe burning time, but that's also to be expected.
there really isn't anything wrong with this drive.
- Other Thoughts: it's weird i guess, but my laptop's slim dvd durner drive ouputs a little less noise. but it also spins down more frequently too, since it's in a laptop.
