Pros: Just replaced this burner after two years, so I'm happy with the longevity.

Cons: None really. I just upgraded because this one stopped reading some games, but I didn't expect more than a few years of use.

Pros: Worked for a while.

Cons: No longer reliable starting about 6 mos. after purchase. After it started making coasters I tried it on a different PC - seemed to work OK for a little while after first installing the OS's (both XP & Win7), before updates & service packs, then no go after all updates installed & mobo drivers replaced generic MS drivers.

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Lasted 2 months past its warranty then started failing: played for a while then froze Media Player with Event ID 7 errors all over the place.

Other Thoughts: I have two of these on different computers and they are both doing the same thing. I thought Samsung was better than this :(

Pros: No matter what I burn DVDs CDs Dual layer, it comes through.

Cons: No cons whatsoever

Pros: works, not noisy, looks nice, ALWAYS works

Cons: price went up after i bought it *snickers*

Other Thoughts: its a disc drive... as long as it works and isnt noisy its good, i said always works because some drives have bad windows drivers or are just bad... like my friends disc drive that only reads cd's/dvd's when it wants lol

Pros: It feels sloid few plug ins because its sata read and writes fast and does just about everything but cook my omelets but thats ok I guess since its made to eat and spit out CD/DVD.

Cons: none yet

Other Thoughts: Low price and the black face is nice add to my custom paint job haf 932 plus the buttons has a smooth/grip feel to it and it has nice response

Pros: Cheap

Cons: After an SH-223C that I bought from Newegg failed after one day of use, I bought an SH-223B from a local store. It has lasted for two months. At first it stopped writing at 16x but would work at 16x. Today, it stopped writing DVDs completely. Trying to write a DVD just stopped at 1% complete and locked up Nero.

Other Thoughts: I used to like Samsung CD/DVD products but I doubt if I will buy another.

Pros: Works. Quiet.

Cons: None that I know of.

Other Thoughts: As always, remember to set the DVD/CD player/burner's region before use! I suspect that many - if not most - of those who are having problems with these drives have forgotten this. I have not had any problems with this drive for four months (and counting...)

Pros: Works well. No hickups yet. Reasonably fast burning.

Cons: It doesn't wash my car.

Other Thoughts: It's just a DVD Burner at a reasonable price.

Pros: was working for a while

Cons: seems to toally freeze the system when accessing it or burning dvd's with drive. Slow everything on computer down on startup cause cpu is looking for dvd that isn't working anymore.
Nero indicated driver CRC errors

Other Thoughts: Why they don't require the model number on the FRONT of the player I don't know. How can anyone see the top of the DVD when it's in the computer case? especially when trying to diagnose problems. Just shows you how clueless those in the tech industry are.
