Nice to not have to use external power supply for the drive (plugs in to two usb ports on your computer), and also is recognized as a boot drive, which came in handy when I had to reinstall the OS on my netbook. Cons: Strange power adaptor with two usb hubs. One usb port was on one side of the laptop and one other the other would not reach without usb extension cord.
