Pros: it is sleek and easy to install. highly recommend to anyone that just needs a drive in case. I have only used it to install windows and the other drivers but i had no issues at all. oh, also it was nice and cheap.

Other Thoughts: I only needed this drive for installing the OS and for the occasional CD i buy, so plugging and unplugging it from inside is no big deal for me. however it should not be necessary to do so.

Pros: Affordable. Smooth tray movement with deep "cup" so the disc doesn't slide around. I really like the big round eject button. I've never had a round button before, always rectangular. Seems silly, but the round button feels so much nicer.

Cons: Noisy, but they all are at this price point.

Other Thoughts: Wish it came in white. My case is all white and the front of the drive is black. Bugs me.

Pros: They work just like they say. I bought 2 as they were the same price as a CD/DVD reader. Someday I will update to Blu-ray... just not yet.
