Pros: USB powered using usb mini connector, reads and writes from my macbook air great. Detachable cable and thin profile make this nicer to carry in my bookbag than the Apple equivalent.

Cons: USB mini, meh. For lightweight latptops, the power draw may sometimes exceed old USB standard 500mA. Macs and other modern machines don't have this problem.

Other Thoughts: I have not tried booting from it.

Cons: When it's open will not sit flat.

Other Thoughts: If you put this on the edge of your desk and you open it, it will flip off your desk. Now you know, so don't do that (also don't do like the wife and put it away somewhere safe--it blends with its surroundings).
