Cons: Ordered this along with several other parts while custom building my own desktop and it was missing from my order!
Not to mention my motherboard was faulty when I received it. Either I have the worst luck in the world or this site is a joke.

Other Thoughts: 2/6/2016 stopped working just makes a ticking noise then nothing....No big loss just don't wanna break back into case.

Pros: Reads the disc
does what it's suppose to do

Cons: Man when this thing gets going it sounds like a crop duster. I wasn't looking for an expensive drive all I needed was one to run the OS disc and it did the job

Pros: It worked when I needed it to, which was only to install windows

Cons: -I didn't use it enough to really see how fast it was.
-Doesn't come with it's own cabbles

Other Thoughts: It worked for me so if you need one to install windows I would buy this one again.

Pros: the player actually reads the disc

Cons: Have had this optical drive for a few months and I'm finding that whenever something has a minor hiccup the drive will no longer read my discs unless I re-install the firmware. I don't like having to open and close programs for hardware to function correctly. This is happening most frequently when importing music to iTunes.

I have a DVD RW from another manufacturer that used for burning and this has no issues. I've had optical drives from other manufacturers without issue.

I am re-installing the firmware approximately 2 - 3 times per day for the drive to function as it should. This is an annoying characteristic of the drive. I read another recent review of someone else having same issue. Apparently the drive doesn't like particular software for probably the most used media player available.

Other Thoughts: Drive gets exceptionally noisy at times when downloading program or importing music.

Pros: none that I can think of.

Cons: The drive will not always work and constantly having to install the firmaware in order for the drive to function. I also have another manufacturer's DVD burner which there are no issues.

This drive will be getting replaced as I have to frequiently reboot computer in order to use the drive. I am probably rebooting the firmware twice if not more per day. Totally unacceptable

Other Thoughts: This is probably also the noisiest optical drive I've owned.

This also doesn't flash the firmware like other products that flash firmware.

Pros: Fast 18X read

Cons: OEM (just pack in bubble wrap not anythinh else).
Looks very cheap not looks like an original Samsung.
Slow and fail to display CD/DVD music info in itunes/windows explorer, sometimes had to eject and insert again or wait for long.

Other Thoughts: You have 30 days to return, mine is out.

Pros: Good CD-ROM drive. Hasn't failed me yet. Fast at reading and its cheap.

Cons: Kind of noisy but not enough to bump down an egg point.

Pros: works for what I needed... pretty much just to install the OS

Cons: takes up space and I probably wont use it again

Pros: Works fine for as its in a server PC but keep in mind it's only a read drive.
