Pros: Had to get a sata drive. Can beat it for the price. Nice looking too. Well packed in bubble wrap.

Other Thoughts: This and it's competitors go on sale fairly regularly, so you can save a few bucks by waiting.

-Easy to use, work's great.

Pros: Plays DVD and Cd's with no trouble. Speeds are what you would expect considering the limitations of the medium.

Cons: No software or cable included but that's been the norm for sometime now.

Other Thoughts: Honestly haven't even tried writing to a disc and don't know if i ever will. Don't burn movies, have phone for music and flash/ external drives for backups. Many people feel that disc drives are unecessary now adays. While I don't use it often I can say from experience that if the day comes and you need it but don't have one, you'll wish you spent the $13-$20 on it.

Pros: Arrived fast, I even forgot I ordered it when it showed up in the mailbox. Was cheap 12.99 at the time of purchase, by far the cheapest I've even paid for a optical drive...

Cons: Installed Friday.. Lasted until Sunday. My kid opened the drive and put a disk in and it would not shut. For the life of us we were unable to get it to close again. Took it out of his pc and something inside was rattling like a chain, threw in the garbage and replaced it with an LG BluRay drive.

Other Thoughts: First samsung optical drive purchase probably my last.

Pros: This drive does exactly what it should, it works perfect!

Cons: Why couldn't they include a couple mounting screws?
