1 out of 5 eggsDoesn't work on Macs (as opposed to what was advertised)

Pros: Compact
Pull-out USB cord hidden inside for storage

Cons: It said it would work for Macs, but I tried many times, and it would not allow me to write to discs. I tried both using the OS's method of burning to a DVD and Roxio Toast. Time and time again, it would freeze. It also seemed flimsy when putting the tray back in. It seemed to not fit or be aligned, and then wouldn't close. I am returning this model for sure.

Other Thoughts: I am on Mac OS 10.6, a 2011 MacBook Pro.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Doesn't require and external power source from a plugin. Very small and wis very quiet. I haven't had any problems with it since starting to use the drive. The tuck-away cord is a nie feature.

Cons: Although it doesn't require an external power source, it does require that both USB connections be utilized. You will do yourself a favor if you were to use an extension cord for the tuck-away due to the length.

5 out of 5 eggsCompact, quick, and functional

Pros: Very compact, built solid, USB retractable cable is wonderful, and burns very fast.

Cons: CD tray - see below

Other Thoughts: I've had this wonderful little burner to accompany my new Alienware laptop for about a week now and have burned tons of CDs and DVDs with it already. The retractable cable is very nice! you dont have to worry about lugging another cable along, unless you have an underpowered USB port. The only thing worth noting about this drive is that when you go to press the CD drive in, it sometimes catches on the sides and top. As long as you dont sit anything on top of it and push the drive straight in, you'll be fine. Overall, it's a great burner and I would definitely buy another!
